Job Summary Best Office Staff is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Patient Care Specialist to join our team. Responsibilities Patient Interaction: Greet and check in patients with a friendly, welcoming demeanor. Guide them through the intake process, answer questions, and ensure they feel comfortable. Scheduling Appointments: Efficiently schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring minimal wait times and optimal clinic flow for both eye care and aesthetics services. Patient Records: Maintain and update patient records accurately, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA standards. Insurance Coordination: Verify insurance eligibility for eye care services, handle prior authorizations, and assist patients with insurance-related questions. Billing and Payments: Assist with billing inquiries and payments for both eye and aesthetics services, explaining costs and insurance coverage where applicable. Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for patients, responding to phone calls, emails, and messages promptly. Pre-Visit Preparation: Prepare necessary forms and documentation for patient visits in both departments and ensure that all pre-visit requirements are completed. Patient Education: Provide basic information to patients about eye health, aesthetics procedures, and follow-up care instructions, as directed by the clinical professionals. Post-Treatment Assistance: Provide patients with aftercare instructions for aesthetics treatments and eye care procedures, ensuring they understand recovery steps and product usage. Product Sales Support: Assist with the sale of recommended skincare products, eye care products, or cosmetics, explaining benefits as advised by the clinic specialists. Team Collaboration: Work closely with clinical staff in both eye care and aesthetics to ensure seamless patient care and clinic efficiency. Qualifications Education: Medical Background is a plus Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a healthcare or customer service setting, preferably in an eye clinic, aesthetic clinic, or similar medical environment. Skills: Strong English communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in medical scheduling software and basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Office). Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a busy clinical environment. Knowledge of insurance verification and billing processes is preferred. Bilingual skills (especially in Spanish) are a plus.
