By providing patients and internal and external stakeholders with a consistent, efficient, and easy experience, you’ll help ensure that patients at The Oregon Clinic Foregut Surgery Clinic receive the highest value care tailored to their needs. Using excellent customer service and communications skills, your primary duties in this phone-based role include: Primarily responsible for scheduling appointments for new/established patients in an efficient and timely manner. Obtaining and completing insurance information. Answering phones on multi-line system. Managing inbound referrals. Providing coverage for our medical records and front desk teams. Updating registration and EMR records as needed. Other duties as assigned. Salary: Hiring range, based on experience and credentials: Level I: $19.59 - $26.51 per hour. Level II: $21.55 - $29.16 per hour. Level III: $23.71 - $32.07 per hour. Workdays: This role is located at the Providence Cancer Center. Hybrid/Remote work is available once training is completed and expectations are met. Once fully trained, the role may transition to full-time remote with occasional required onsite work. Must live in Portland or SW Washington. Typical hours are Monday-Friday (8:30 am - 5:00 pm). Qualifications that support success in this role are based on education, experience and values including: Minimum of one (1) year of work experience, preferably in a medical office or clinical setting, is strongly preferred. Specialty care GI/Foregut Surgery experience is a strong plus! Prior experience in complex healthcare scheduling is preferred. Prior Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience is preferred. Epic experience is a plus! Familiarity with insurance and referral processes. Demonstrated ability to initiate, work independently, and effectively multitask. Excellent attendance and work ethic. Positive attitude and desire to be a team player. Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, physicians, and other team members.
