About The Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Analyst to join our team. This role involves researching, analyzing, evaluating, and administering complex payroll audits, policies, and programs across all payroll components, including earnings, deductions, taxes, leave plans, and distributions. The Payroll Analyst will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of payroll data, reconciling files within established deadlines, and interpreting plan documents and contract provisions to maintain system integrity. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent training/experience
- Minimum of 5 years of payroll experience, including at least two years in an analytical role within a large corporation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Working knowledge of payroll pay practices and programs
- Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills
- Project management and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate with various functional teams to complete analysis, projects, and assignments
- Prior HR/payroll experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Research, analyze, and evaluate complex payroll audits, policies, and programs to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Administer payroll components including earnings, deductions, taxes, leave plans, and distributions
- Reconcile payroll files and data within established deadlines, ensuring data integrity
- Interpret plan documents and contract provisions to maintain system accuracy and compliance
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and revise audit procedures to incorporate new business services and government requirements
- Collaborate with HR, finance, and other departments to resolve payroll discrepancies and issues
- Maintain documentation of payroll processes and audit findings for audit readiness and compliance purposes
- Support payroll system updates and enhancements, providing insights based on analysis and audit results
- Prioritize workload effectively amidst frequent interruptions, maintaining high accuracy and timeliness
