The Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing payroll for Gifted Healthcare's clinical workforce. This role plays a key part in ensuring an exceptional employee experience by providing outstanding customer service while maintaining compliance with company policies and applicable payroll regulations. Primary Responsibilities: Process accurate and timely payroll for clinical employees Review, audit, and post employee timecards, verifying and reconciling payroll data and resolving discrepancies prior to processing Process payroll adjustments, corrections, reimbursements, and other approved pay changes Generate payroll reports and maintain required documentation Respond to employee payroll inquiries in a professional and timely manner Escalate complex or sensitive payroll issues as appropriate Ensure compliance with payroll policies, wage and hour laws, and established procedures Maintain confidentiality of employee and payroll information Perform other duties as assigned Position Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required Minimum of two years of payroll processing experience Working knowledge of federal and state wage and hour laws Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong customer service orientation with the ability to build positive working relationships Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion Please note: this is a remote role, but applicants must be based in the greater New Orleans, Louisiana area to be considered.
