Key Responsibilities & Role Scope

• Pega Solution Architecture: Lead the architecture and design of AI-driven Pega solutions, including application architecture, data modeling, case management design, UI/UX design, and integration architecture aligned to business and technical requirements.
• Technical Leadership: Provide architectural guidance and technical leadership to Pega teams comprising System Architects, Senior System Architects, and developers, while ensuring adherence to Pega best practices, governance standards, and delivery excellence.
• Enterprise Reporting: Strong understanding of Pega BIX, along with awareness of OLTP/OLAP concepts, Datamarts, and Data Warehouse architectures.
• Application Integration: Design and implement scalable integration solutions between Pega applications and external systems using Pega connectors, REST/SOAP APIs, databases, and third-party platforms. Good understanding of enterprise software architecture and integration patterns is required.
• Performance Engineering: Identify application performance bottlenecks, drive optimization initiatives, and execute performance tuning activities to improve scalability, responsiveness, and operational efficiency of Pega applications.
• Security & Data Privacy: Good working knowledge of Pega security capabilities including SSO, SSL, encryption standards, PCI-DSS compliance, RBAC, and ABAC models.
• AI Capabilities: Demonstrate a strong understanding and practical implementation experience of Pega AI capabilities, particularly in GenAI and Agentic AI solutioning.
• Client Engagement: Work closely with customers, understand complex business challenges, and provide well-structured, solution-oriented recommendations using excellent analytical thinking and stakeholder engagement skills.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 8+ years of hands-on experience working on the Pega platform and related frameworks.
• Experience in the Financial Services domain is highly preferred.
• Certified Pega Lead System Architect (CLSA) designation is highly desired.
• Strong knowledge of Pega frameworks such as Customer Service (CS), CDH, Robotics, and KYC.
• Excellent communication, analytical thinking, stakeholder engagement, and articulation skills.
• Must be self-motivated, proactive, outcome-driven, and operate effectively in an independent B2B consultant capacity.

Engagement Terms & Compliance

• Contract Status: This is an Independent Contractor (B2B) engagement. Selected candidates will operate as independent contractors/vendors and will be responsible for their own tax remittances, business registration/HST, and equipment as required by Canadian law.
