We are looking for a highly organized and proactive People Operations Generalist who combines solid HR expertise with a proactive mindset and a strong sense of ownership. In this role, you'll help keep our centrally located Lisbon office running smoothly and be the go-to person for our core HR processes and ensure a seamless employee experience across our employees' lifecycle.

Your Responsibilities

People Operations & Administration

• Be a trusted point of contact for employees and managers on HR-related topics for our team.
• Prepare employment contracts, addendums, references, and other HR documents.
• Manage the onboarding and offboarding experience for new joiners and leavers.
• Maintain employee records and manage HR data in our system (BambooHR).
• Manage monthly payroll preparation with external providers, ensuring full compliance with local SAF-T billing and statutory reporting requirements.
• Oversee local municipal tax compliance, reporting, and payment schedules.
• Ensure overall compliance with labor laws, statutory tax requirements, and internal policies.
  
  

Office Management & Culture

• Oversee the Lisbon office to ensure it is organized, fully stocked, and presentable for staff and visitors.
• Manage office bills, incoming post, and relationships with local vendors and service providers.
• Provide ad-hoc administrative assistance to the CEO, including calendar coordination and managing local paperwork / notary visits.
• Organize our local team events and foster a great company culture through your initiatives.
  
  

Your Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in office management and / or HR roles
• Fluent in English and Portuguese; Italian and other languages are a plus
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Enjoy being a point of contact for our employees and creating a great employee experience
• Hands-on and proactive mindset, with the ability to take initiative and handle multiple tasks independently
• Solid understanding of employment law and HR processes
• Ability to work 5 days per week in the office
