MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT As a Performance Tester, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of USPS. You will play a crucial role in optimizing the business functions at USPS. We are seeking an experienced Performance Tester to join our team. This candidate will play a critical role in developing and maintaining robust test automation frameworks to support the testing and deployment of USPS software applications. The Performance Tester will lead performance validation across complex, distributed applications. This role is responsible for designing, executing, and analyzing performance, load, stress, and scalability tests to ensure our platforms meet enterprise-grade reliability and throughput requirements. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong analytical skills and the ability to collaborate across engineering, architecture, and DevOps teams. The Test Engineer must have: Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited College/University is preferred. Alternative Path: If the candidate does not possess a relevant four-year degree, an additional four years of relevant work experience will be required. Required Experience : 8+ years of experience in Information Technology 5 years with ALM and UFT and software development preferred. Required Technical Skills and Expertise : Performance testing SDLC executions, development of performance test Scripts, test plans, test executions, analysis, and reporting Develop, implement, and maintain performance testing policies, frameworks, and best practices to ensure consistency, scalability, and compliance with organizational and security standards Create, update, and manage training materials for performance testing and automation, ensuring they align with industry trends and organizational needs Deliver ongoing coaching, mentoring, and training to cross-functional teams to enhance their ability to execute automation and performance testing, driving continuous quality improvement Provide support for Performance testing and Automation initiative for teams and projects enterprise-wide Evaluate and recommend testing tools, technologies, and methodologies to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of testing processes Additional Qualifications : Administrative support for maintenance of testing infrastructure and tools, including ALM, LoadRunner Enterprise, UFT, Etc. The USPS security clearance process requires the selected candidate to have resided in the U.S. (including U.S. Territories) for the last five years as follows: U.S. Citizens cannot have left the U.S. (including U.S. Territories) for longer than 6 months consecutively in the last 3 years (unless they meet certain exceptions). This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
