Permitting Support Specialist

Job Description This is a remote position. Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Permitting Support Specialist with experience managing permits for heating, cooling, and plumbing projects. This person will prepare and submit permit applications, communicate with municipalities, track approvals, and maintain accurate permitting records. This is a part-time remote position requiring a minimum of 20 hours per week during U.S. business hours. Key Responsibilities Prepare and submit permit applications Research municipal requirements, forms, and fees Coordinate with building departments and local agencies Track permits from submission through approval Follow up on outstanding applications and corrections Schedule required inspections Gather missing project information from internal teams Maintain organized permitting records and documentation Update internal systems with current permit statuses Provide regular progress reports Identify delays and escalate issues promptly Support additional permitting and administrative tasks Required Qualifications Previous HVAC, plumbing, or construction permitting experience Familiarity with municipal permitting processes Strong written and verbal English communication Excellent attention to detail Strong organizational and follow-up skills Ability to manage multiple permits and deadlines Comfortable communicating by phone and email Ability to work independently Reliable internet and professional remote workspace Preferred Qualifications Experience working with multiple municipalities Knowledge of HVAC and plumbing terminology Experience coordinating inspections Familiarity with online permit portals Experience supporting a U.S.-based home-services company Schedule Part-time Minimum 20 hours per week Availability during U.S. business hours Potential for additional hours based on business needs
