Job Title: Pharmacy Customer Care Specialist Job Description This role serves as the primary point of contact for home dialysis customers, delivering exceptional service and support to ensure a positive customer experience. The position is primarily responsible for order placement, resolving customer inquiries, and prescription management. The specialist collaborates with internal teams to address customer needs while maintaining service quality, efficiency, and department goals. Responsibilities Process customer orders via telephone accurately and efficiently while ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations. Obtain and verify customer information, including quantities and usage of products on the customer's prescription. Ensure all patient-related interactions adhere to HIPAA regulations. Resolve customer questions, complaints, and service issues by identifying root causes and recommending appropriate solutions. Investigate and track product shipments, utilizing tracking websites and connecting with the transportation team. Coordinate with internal departments to expedite shipments, release, and/or alternate ship back-ordered items to ensure timely deliveries. Process customer returns and request customer credit in accordance with company policies and procedures. Collaborate with other departments (Routing, Transportation, Sales, Credit & Collections) to resolve customer issues and provide a cohesive customer experience. Meet established performance expectations related to quality, adherence, order accuracy, and service level standards. Adapt to changing business needs and customer requirements. Work remotely utilizing a reliable high-speed wired internet connection. Support business operations by working a flexible schedule within the Customer Care operating hours of 7:00am to 6:00pm CST, with the closing shift required to remain available until all customer calls have been answered. Essential Skills Pharmacy technician certification and license from IL, WIS, IN, or FL. Active National PTCB or NHA pharmacy tech certification. 2-4 years of call center experience in a clinical setting. High School diploma or equivalent GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred. Strong customer (patient) engagement skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining a professional and empathetic demeanor. Attention to detail, problem solving, conflict resolution, and organization skills. Ability to work independently in a remote environment. Proficiency with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and TEAMS. Additional Skills & Qualifications Background working with dialysis medications/patients is nice to have. Strong home Wi-Fi (no hotspot connections) and a HIPAA compliant workspace are required. Ability to handle high call volumes, with an average of 2000 calls/day. Work Environment This position is 100% remote and requires a HIPAA compliant workspace in the home. Public spaces or open room settings are not permitted. Candidates must have strong home Wi-Fi and cannot connect to hotspots. The role requires availability from Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 6:00pm CST, with an expectation to work 8-hour shifts. A set schedule will be provided, likely between 9:00am-5:00pm or 10:00am-6:00pm. All calls in queue must be taken before signing off for the day. Training will begin remotely and last for approximately 6 weeks, with hours between 8:00am-4:00pm or 8:30am-4:30pm. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Deerfield, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.67 - $21.15/hr.
