Job Title: Customer Support Representative - Pharmacy Operations Job Description The Customer Support Representative plays a crucial role in Pharmacy Operations, responsible for managing inbound pharmacy calls, scheduling refill deliveries, and directing calls to appropriate personnel. The ideal candidate is well-spoken, enthusiastic, and organized, with the ability to provide a high level of customer service to patients, clinicians, and clients. Responsibilities Serve as the primary resource for inbound telephone calls to minimize workflow interruptions due to non-clinical related customer inquiries. Handle inbound and outbound calls to schedule medication delivery and payment, ensuring accurate information is recorded for timely package distribution. Directly respond to customer inquiries when appropriate or route calls to the appropriate staff to ensure prompt resolution and customer satisfaction. Update concise progress notes to enable other roles within the workflow to quickly assess the status of the referral. Provide customer service through management information systems to answer questions regarding refill needs, prescription status, insurance verification, and invoice requests. Address patient questions and concerns during refill scheduling and transfer to the clinical team when necessary. Identify and report adverse events and product complaints to clinicians to ensure patient safety. Perform other duties as assigned, which may vary slightly depending on the specific team or program requirements. Essential Skills Registered Pharmacy Technician in NC Customer service experience Proficiency in call center operations Experience with management information systems Proficiency in Microsoft applications Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to show empathy when speaking with patients Professional telephone manner Strong attention to detail Additional Skills & Qualifications Pharmacy technician certification Prior authorization knowledge Retail pharmacy experience Medical office experience or knowledge of medical terminology Pharmacy experience is a plus Medical claims experience is a plus Data entry and insurance knowledge Work Environment This is a hybrid position based in Cary, NC, USA. Initial training is conducted entirely in the office, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Once training is completed, the permanent shift is Monday through Friday, from 11:30 AM to 8:00 PM EST, with a schedule of 2 days in the office and 3 days remote. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Cary, NC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
