The Center for Lifespan Psychology at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development (MPIB) in Berlin, Germany, is seeking applications for a PhD Position (m/f/d) (E13 TVöD 75%, 39 h/week) The position is available from October 1, 2026 or later and is limited to 3 years with the possibility of extension. Job Description The successful candidate will join the research project, Mapping Early Memory Trajectories Across Species (ATLAS), at the Center for Lifespan Psychology of the Max Planck Institute for Human Development (Berlin). The candidate will lead arc 1 and 2 of ATLAS (see https://www.mpib-berlin.mpg.de/research/research-centers/lip/projects/atlas ) in all steps of the research endeavor including the recruitment of participants, data acquisition, data curation, data analysis and publication of results. There are no formal teaching requirements. Additional responsibilities include participating in academic conferences, presenting research findings and project outcomes, and authoring scientific publications in relevant peer-reviewed journals. Your Profile We seek highly motivated candidates with a genuine interest in memory development. Applicants (m/f/d) must hold, or expect to hold by the starting date, a master's degree in Psychology, Neuroscience, or related disciplines.
