PL1 Developer

About the Job: We are seeking an experienced Expert PL1 Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a team player and a creative pragmatist who is willing to take calculated risks and has a strong ability to communicate with our stakeholders effectively in German. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, contributing to critical systems and collaborating with a diverse team to drive innovation and excellence. What You Do: Develop and enhance existing PL1 modules for Output Management Systems (OMS). Conduct code and business analysis with the aim of implementing code refactoring and increasing module resilience. Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to discuss requirements and address any bugs or issues. Participate in requirement engineering to ensure comprehensive understanding and documentation of business needs. Contribute to the architecture and design of output management solutions, ensuring scalability and efficiency. What You Bring: Profound development experience in PL1. Extensive experience with Output Management Systems, including architecture and design. Strong expertise in requirement engineering. Deep knowledge of IBM DB2, WebSphere MQ, and XML. Profound experience with Allianz Business System (ABS). Fluent German language skills are required for effective communication with business stakeholders. Willingness to travel to Munich for Tribe Days and several other occasions, such as workshops with business stakeholders. Java skills or experience in another object-oriented language is desirable due to the planned migration from PL1 to Java in the coming years.
