MRB Group is a multi-disciplined, high-energy engineering, architecture and planning firm where creativity and innovation are valued. We are currently recruiting for a Planning Associate to join our growing team in Rochester, New York.
An ideal candidate must have experience and background with municipal planning, and be familiar with municipal organizational structure and operations, roles, and responsibilities.
Position Requirements
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience with a BS/BA degree in environmental planning, civil engineering, or related field.
- Can comprehend typical subdivision/site plans, grading plans and contours, utility layouts, elevations, and engineering reports.
- Knowledge with NYSDEC stormwater regulations and MS4 requirements.
- Must possess a strong ability to translate from maps, plans, and engineering documents into descriptive written communication and public presentations.
- Ability to work with a fast-paced team and perform assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
- Ability to manage workload on multiple projects and deliver projects on time.
- Ability to demonstrate exceptional problem solving and communication skills, both written and oral.
- Public speaking, presentation skills, and interactions with clients, community residents, municipal staff and elected officials will be expected.

Team Building and Company Events
Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000
As of this posting, the estimated annual base salary range for this position is $70,000 – $90,000. Actual base salary will be based upon criteria such as experience, qualifications and skill level. We are an EEO Employer.*
