A Bit About The Role
We are seeking an Administration Officer to join the Planning and Place Administration team. Reporting to the Coordinator Planning and Place Administration, your role is to:
- Be the first point of contact for customer enquiries, providing information and directing enquiries relating to Planning, Building and City Strategy services
- Provide administrative support across planning and building services, including application processing, documentation, notifications and correspondence
- Support community consultation activities and stakeholder communications
- Work collaboratively across teams to deliver high-quality customer service and contribute to continuous improvement
About You
We're looking for someone with:
- Knowledge of the Victorian Planning and Environment Act 1987, the Subdivision Act 1988 and/or the Building Act 1983, Building Regulations 2006 and Building Code of Australia and any relevant regulation would be an advantage
- Experience in the processing of planning and building applications.
- Knowledge of computer software including but not limited to Microsoft Office suite and Pathway
- The ability to handle enquiries in a professional and customer focused manner
- Customer service excellence and sound communication skills
