Plant Supplier Quality Engineer

SCOPE AND PURPOSE Monitor the suppliers' performances and KPIs, as well as the implementation of improvement action after claims/audit in order to maintain an adequate level towards Brembo customer. RESULT AREAS / MAIN ACTIVITIES • Monitors suppliers performances (KPI IQ/PPM) Quality Index- Part per milion; • Manages claims coming from suppliers; • Manages suppliers non-conformity; • Performs audit on suppliers; • Guarantees the communication with supplier in case of non-conformity. QUALIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL SKILLS Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field (e.g., Mechanical, Industrial, Automotive, Electrical, Materials Engineering). Minimum of 4 years of experience in Supplier Quality or related quality roles. Proven experience in supplier quality, production quality, or manufacturing quality within an industrial or automotive environment. Hands-on experience with supplier PPAP approval processes, incoming inspection documentation, measurement program setup, and report review. Practical experience in incoming inspection of components from suppliers to ensure release readiness for the production line. Exposure to non-conforming product management, including problem-solving methodologies, root cause analysis, implementation of corrective actions, and component verification activities. Exposure to supplier PPAP submission and approval processes, including document control and release activities, is considered an advantage. Ability to work hands‑on on the shop floor. Solid knowledge of Quality Core Tools, including APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plan, MSA, and SPC. Hands-on experience in using laboratory and measurement equipment such as CMM, Roundness Tester, Hardness Tester, Roughness Tester, and Profile Projector. Good understanding of GD&T, special characteristics, and technical drawing interpretation. Knowledge of statistical process control, including Cp, Cpk analysis, and familiarity with incoming inspection activities. Strong English communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, including global stakeholders. Detail-oriented with strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities. Proven ability to collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams in a dynamic environment. Compliance-driven mindset, with a strong focus on supplier quality and adherence to Brembo standards and requirements.
