About the Role
We are looking for a Platform Engineer to support governance workflows, service onboarding, and registry migration initiatives across enterprise agent platforms.
The role focuses on automating migration processes, implementing governance lifecycle controls, and ensuring compliance with platform standards and approval workflows. The ideal candidate has strong experience with Python-based data processing, platform operations, automation, and enterprise governance integrations.
You will join the Core Architecture Team and contribute to the development and operation of a Digital Engineering Enterprise Platform that enables engineering teams to adopt standardized services, technologies, and practices while maintaining security, compliance, and governance standards.

The organization is undertaking a major transformation focused on introducing a new generation of Reduced-Risk Products (RRPs) and building an innovative digital ecosystem around IoT, eCommerce, and digital marketing.
Its IT platform hosts 700+ applications, creating significant requirements for scalable governance, service onboarding, automation, and platform management.

As a Platform Engineer, you will become part of the Core Architecture Team, helping implement platform governance capabilities, automate onboarding and migration processes, and establish consistent lifecycle management for platform services, agents, and registry-managed assets.
Key Responsibilities
Migration & Onboarding
- Design and implement scalable migration and onboarding processes for platform services, AI agents, and registry-managed assets.
- Develop automation for large-scale service and asset onboarding.
- Plan and execute migration activities while minimizing operational disruption.
- Create repeatable procedures for data extraction, transformation, validation, and loading.
- Support registry migration initiatives and ensure migrated assets meet platform standards.
Python Automation & Data Processing
- Develop Python-based ETL scripts for data migration, transformation, validation, and reconciliation.
- Automate repetitive migration and onboarding activities.
- Build tooling to process and validate large volumes of registry and platform data.
- Implement data quality checks and validation mechanisms.
- Troubleshoot data processing and migration issues.
Governance Lifecycle Management
- Implement governance workflows covering the complete asset lifecycle:
- Submission
- Review
- Approval
- Activation
- Deprecation
- Retirement
- Build automation supporting approval gates and policy-driven promotion to active status.
- Ensure platform assets transition between lifecycle states according to defined governance rules.
- Validate lifecycle status changes and ensure compliance with platform policies.
- Support enforcement of governance standards across enterprise agent platforms.
Compliance & Quality
- Validate migrated records, metadata quality, lifecycle status, and governance compliance.
- Identify and resolve inconsistencies in registry data and metadata.
- Collaborate with security and platform teams to ensure governance requirements are consistently implemented.
- Support auditability and traceability of governance decisions and lifecycle transitions.
Platform Operations
- Create operational tooling to support large-scale onboarding and migration initiatives.
- Monitor migration and governance workflows and investigate failures.
- Troubleshoot platform and registry issues.
- Maintain data quality throughout migration and governance processes.
- Contribute to operational standards and platform best practices.
Documentation & Continuous Improvement
- Produce technical documentation, migration procedures, runbooks, and operational guidelines.
- Document governance workflows, approval processes, and lifecycle controls.
- Identify opportunities to improve automation, reliability, and efficiency.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of platform governance and lifecycle management capabilities.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in platform engineering, data engineering, or a related technical role.
- Strong hands-on experience with Python ETL scripting and automation.
- Experience working with data migration, transformation, validation, and reconciliation processes.
- Experience integrating or implementing enterprise governance workflows.
- Understanding of registry or service lifecycle management.
- Experience implementing workflow stages such as submission, review, approval, activation, deprecation, and retirement.
- Understanding of approval gates, policy-driven workflows, and compliance controls.
- Experience working with enterprise platforms, service registries, catalogs, or similar systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively with platform, security, product, and engineering teams.
- Strong English communication and documentation skills.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Experience with AI agent platforms or enterprise agent registries.
- Experience with platform engineering or internal developer platforms.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with REST APIs and system integrations.
- Experience with CI/CD and DevOps automation.
- Knowledge of data quality frameworks and validation strategies.
- Experience with governance, compliance, or regulated enterprise environments.

Education
