The Aerovy Story Founded in 2023 to develop infrastructure for advanced air mobility Spun out from Purdue University Aerospace Systems Engineering research Backed by M25, Mudita, Flywheel Fund, Quorum Capital Partners, Purdue Ventures + more Job Summary As a Platform Engineer at Aerovy, you’ll help architect and deliver core components of our cloud platform, serving real-time applications across energy, IoT, telematics, and AI. You’ll work on a modular extensible system that powers everything from EV fleets and battery platforms to electric aircraft and robotics. This is a hands-on, full-stack opportunity where you’ll own features end-to-end, from concept to launch, and work closely with a nimble, high-caliber team. Job Requirements: At least 2 years experience contributing to a software engineering team. BS/MS/PhD in CS, scientific, engineering field or equivalent experience. Passion for finding and solving hard problems. Passion for learning and growing both technically and non-technically. Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for technology innovation. Nice to haves: Solid experience in Cloud/IaaC Infrastructure and Tooling preferably AWS (EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, AWS Batch, DynamoDB, CloudFormation/CDK, etc.) Solid experience in Docker/containerized applications Solid experience with near real-time/real-time analytics, time series databases Proficiency in C# Responsibilities You will be expected to function independently and proactively with support from your team. You will be routinely given requirements and be accountable to drive delivery end-to-end. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver business-critical features and services. Own the reliability, scalability, maintainability, and performance of critical production systems. Additional Notes This is a hybrid role based in Seattle, offering flexibility while ensuring close collaboration with product, engineering, and business stakeholders.
