About the role: As a Platform Engineer , you will be part of a highly skilled team within our Developer Experience area, building and evolving the platforms, services, and capabilities that support software engineering across SEB. This is a role for someone who wants to combine hands-on engineering with platform thinking and enterprise-scale impact. You will work with modern DevOps and platform engineering practices to create secure, scalable, and user-friendly capabilities for software development and delivery. Our mission is to simplify the path from idea to production and to provide a better developer experience across the bank. We are in an exciting phase where our landscape is evolving further towards cloud-native services, stronger platform capabilities, and AI-enabled engineering. That means you will not only improve and operate current services but also help shape the next generation of our internal developer platform and the way engineering is done at SEB. You will work closely with Product Manager, developers, architects, security specialists, and other engineering teams to design, improve, and operate capabilities such as CI/CD, developer workflows, automation, integrations, and other platform components. You are expected to understand both the bigger picture and the technical details, and to turn platform capabilities into real value for engineering teams across the organisation. What you will be doing: Explore and implement AI initiatives in development, to execute on the AI transformation strategy, from identifying needs to driving adoption Contribute to transforming the way SEB developers will work and Software Development Life Cycle in the Agentic Engineering World Design and build automations, integrations, and standardized workflows Contribute to shared standards, governance, and tooling together with architects, security, and peer platform teams Grow adoption through documentation, tutorials, and presentations Continuously improve the reliability, usability, and efficiency in the services we provide To thrive in this role, we believe you bring: Strong problem-solving skills and a drive to improve systems, processes, and developer experience Solid experience in platform engineering and/or developer experience Hands-on experience building or operating CI/CD pipelines and delivery automation, ideally with GitHub and GitHub Actions Strong scripting and programming skills (Python, Bash, or similar) Deep hands-on experience with containers and Kubernetes (OpenShift, GKE, or similar) and GitOps workflows (ArgoCD or similar) Solid experience with at least one major cloud platform (GCP preferred; Azure or AWS also relevant) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar) Good communication skills in English A degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent experience A collaborative mindset and a genuine interest in enabling others A background in software development Experienced in developing AI systems, MCP servers, skills and instructions, utilizing LLMs Experienced in governance and security of Enterprise platforms, agents access What we offer: A technology-forward organisation where engineering matters The opportunity to work with cloud, platform engineering, and AI in a meaningful enterprise context Extensive learning and development opportunities Competitive compensation and benefits A healthy balance between work and private life A friendly, collaborative, and inclusive culture Do you want to be part of SEB?
