At PMAT , we work on mission critical systems that directly support the warfighter, designing, building, and securing modern digital capabilities across cloud, data, and software environments. Our teams tackle complex, real-world challenges where delivery matters more than theory, and innovation is driven by curiosity, collaboration, and purpose. In this role, you’ll contribute to the U.S. Navy's PMW 160 Consolidated Afloat Networks Enterprise Services (CANES) program, working alongside engineers, acquisition professionals, and fleet stakeholders to deliver resilient, forward-leaning solutions in support of national defense. About the role: As the PMW 160 CANES SCN CVN Platform Lead, you will serve as the primary coordinator for the planning, procurement, delivery, installation, and lifecycle execution of Consolidated Afloat Networks Enterprise Services (CANES) equipment aboard new construction U.S. Navy aircraft carriers. This role blends technical program execution, acquisition support, logistics coordination, and stakeholder engagement to ensure critical Navy networking capabilities are delivered on schedule and aligned with shipbuilding milestones. You will collaborate daily with Navy program offices, shipyards, engineering teams, installation contractors, and technical authorities to keep one of the Navy's most important network modernization efforts on track. Responsibilities: Coordinate funding activities, procurement efforts, delivery schedules, and installation planning for CANES Ship Change Notices (SCNs) supporting new construction aircraft carriers. Develop funding documentation including initial 7300 financial documents, spend plans, and Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs). Coordinate procurement activities for hardware and software while ensuring delivery aligns with shipyard installation milestones. Develop Statements of Work (SOWs), technical requirements, and installation tasking for product installation teams. Prepare and deliver program status briefings and platform update presentations to senior Navy leadership and program stakeholders. Respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) regarding CANES platform designs, technical implementation, and installation planning. Maintain platform milestone schedules, SCN fielding plans, and overall program execution tracking. Coordinate resolution of technical, logistics, and integration issues requiring collaboration across multiple organizations and engineering disciplines. Review Daily Status Reports (DSRs) related to shipboard load-out activities and coordinate support for identified issues. Submit and track Tactical Networks (TACNET) trouble tickets for defective equipment and coordinate issue resolution. About Us: PMAT is an innovative small business founded with a passion for developing forward-leaning solutions from exceptional people that increase the mission's capability. We focus on designing and building impactful digital solutions that utilize modern cloud, data, and software concepts. Our passion is working on complex and progressive challenges such as edge platform computing, containerizing legacy platforms, distributed data platforms, or heterogeneous data analysis. We recruit, retain, and foster a team motivated to pursue passions, investigate new ways of doing things, and embody an innovative and entrepreneurial spirit. We believe in being curious about every element of a problem and experiment relentlessly. We foster continuous learning in an environment that encourages positive collaboration and expands our capabilities. We tap into collective intelligence, acknowledging that the most brilliant people may not be in the room. Above all else, we believe that delivering and demonstrating is more potent than a sheet of paper. We are passionate about mission-centric design and delivering effective capabilities to and for the warfighter. Whether you’re an experienced engineer or just beginning your career, you’ll work alongside experts who are committed to solving mission-critical problems. If you’re passionate about using your skills to make a real difference, apply today and become part of a team that’s shaping the future of defense technology! Required Skills and Experience: Minimum six (6) years of experience supporting Information Technology (IT) systems engineering, IT production coordination, project management, or related defense programs supporting the DoD or other Government Agencies. Experience supporting the installation of Navy network systems on new construction U.S. Navy afloat platforms. Experience supporting Navy Systems Commands (SYSCOMs) and Acquisition/Integration Program Offices. Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders across engineering, logistics, acquisition, and installation organizations. Experience developing funding documentation, procurement packages, Statements of Work (SOWs), or acquisition support documentation. Ability to investigate and resolve complex issues spanning multiple technical disciplines and organizations. Experience maintaining schedules, fielding plans, milestone tracking, and program execution documentation. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Project. Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills. Self-starter capable of independently managing priorities while coordinating across multiple organizations.
