Hands-on operational role responsible for running a commodity trading/B2B commerce and price discovery platform during Asian trading hours. Combines real-time platform operation, participant support and platform testing with client engagement across Asian commodity markets. Responsibilities Platform Operations Operate and monitor live trading sessions during Asian hours, ensuring the platform runs within defined parameters and managing handover to/from the London desk. Provide first-line participant support during Asian trading hours — resolving queries on order handling, connectivity and platform functionality in real time. Manage trade facilitation desk— execute instructions on behalf of customers, encourage market participants to place bids and offers on the platform to build visible liquidity, inform market participants of activity on the platform. Monitor volatility controls and escalate breaches immediately. Escalate observations of unusual or suspicious trading activity to Compliance. Market Development Support Build and maintain working-level relationships with Asian market participants — producers, converters, traders — to drive platform adoption. Deliver product demonstrations, platform walkthroughs and training to Asian prospects and participants. Gather and document market intelligence — participant feedback, competitive dynamics, trading behaviour — and feed it back to London in a structured format. Coordinate with the London-based counterpart on cross-regional handovers, participant coverage and global pipeline. UAT & Platform Testing Support business UAT activities for platform upgrades and new features — executing test scripts, logging defects and validating fixes across Asian trading hours and participant scenarios. Test Asian-specific platform configurations (trading hours, participant profiles, connectivity) prior to go-live and major releases. Coordinate with Technology and the London desk on release schedules and rollout verification. KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS We are looking for an individual who is highly motivated, driven, and have a passion to be part of a fast-paced, successful team. Being a strong team player is also important as well as someone who is happy to work flexibly. 2–5 years in commodity trading operations, exchange operations, venue support or commodity sales/business development in Asia. Working knowledge of Asian commodity markets. Mandarin language skills essential; other Asian languages desirable. Familiarity with trading platforms, auction mechanisms or commodity exchanges. Experience with UAT or platform testing in a trading environment is desirable. Comfortable operating across time zones and cultures with strong interpersonal skills. Self-starter who can work independently while coordinating with a global team.
