Platform Software Architect

Role Description The Platform Software Architect is a full-time hybrid role based in Tirana, with flexibility for partial work from home. This role is responsible for defining and evolving the overall platform architecture, including the selection of technologies, frameworks, and integration patterns. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with engineering teams on solution design, reviewing and guiding implementation, and ensuring alignment with performance, scalability, security, and reliability requirements. The Platform Software Architect will create architectural documentation, establish coding and design standards, and mentor developers on best practices. The role also involves participating in roadmap planning, evaluating new tools and technologies, and working closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Software Architecture and Software Design, with experience creating scalable, modular platform solutions.
• Candidates should possess solid Software Development and Programming skills, including hands-on experience in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, C#, Python, or similar).
• Candidates should possess expertise in Design Patterns and architectural best practices, applying them to real-world systems and complex integrations.
• Candidates should possess the ability to produce clear technical documentation, communicate complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders, and collaborate in cross-functional teams.
• Candidates should possess experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), APIs, microservices, and distributed systems, as well as a solid understanding of security, performance, and reliability considerations.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Prior experience as a software architect or senior engineer in platform or product development environments is highly beneficial.
