Position Summary
The Platform Specialist – Modern Workplace / Power Platform is a hands-on Microsoft technology role supporting our Kuala Lumpur office and broader Microsoft platform environment.
The role combines Microsoft 365 administration, Intune endpoint support, local IT support and Power Platform development. It suits someone with strong Level 2 / Level 3 capability who is also practical, customer-focused and willing to roll up their sleeves when onsite support is needed.
The position provides local IT support for approximately 30 employees in Kuala Lumpur. Most support is delivered remotely, but the role also requires hands-on assistance with laptops, peripherals, printers, meeting rooms and basic network connectivity.
The role will also contribute to Power Platform solutions, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse and Copilot Studio agents. The ideal candidate has worn many hats, enjoys variety, learns quickly and has a genuine interest in using Microsoft technology to solve business problems.
Key Responsibilities
Microsoft 365 and Modern Workplace
- Administer and support Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams and related services.
- Manage users, groups, licences, mailboxes and access requests.
- Support Teams, Teams Phone, collaboration tools and meeting room technology.
- Monitor service health, respond to platform issues and support approved Microsoft 365 improvements.
- Maintain clear documentation, support notes and operating procedures.
Intune, Endpoints and Devices
- Manage Windows endpoints using Microsoft Intune.
- Support device enrolment, compliance, configuration profiles and application deployment.
- Troubleshoot device, application, connectivity, profile and policy issues.
- Assist with SOE configuration, application packaging, patching and device lifecycle activities.
- Support mobile device management and application protection policies where required.
Kuala Lumpur Local IT Support
- Provide local IT support for approximately 30 Kuala Lumpur employees.
- Support laptops, desktops, monitors, docking stations, peripherals, printers and meeting room technology.
- Troubleshoot Wi-Fi, network access, printing and physical connectivity issues.
- Assist with new starter equipment, desk setups, hardware swaps and office moves.
- Coordinate with vendors, facilities and remote IT teams when onsite assistance is needed.
Service Desk and Incident Management
- Log, prioritise, resolve and escalate incidents and service requests.
- Provide remote desktop support to users in Kuala Lumpur and other locations.
- Troubleshoot Microsoft 365, endpoint, access and business application issues.
- Escalate complex issues with clear notes and diagnostic information.
- Identify recurring issues and contribute to service improvement.
Power Platform
- Assist with the design, build and support of Power Apps, including model-driven and canvas apps.
- Support Dataverse tables, forms, views, relationships, business rules and security roles.
- Build and maintain Power Automate workflows.
- Assist with Copilot Studio agents, topics, knowledge sources and integrations.
- Troubleshoot failed flows, application issues and user-reported problems.
- Work with business users to turn practical requirements into low-code solutions.
- Follow Power Platform governance, security and environment standards.
Security, Governance and Improvement
- Support controls across Microsoft 365, Intune, endpoints, identity and Power Platform.
- Apply approved access, least privilege, data protection and configuration standards.
- Escalate security risks, unusual activity or control gaps.
- Create and maintain support guides, runbooks and solution documentation.
- Identify opportunities to automate repetitive work using Power Automate, PowerShell or approved tools.
- Stay current with Microsoft 365, Intune, Power Platform and Copilot Studio.
Required Experience
- Microsoft 365 administration and support.
- Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager administration.
- Windows 10/11 endpoint support.
- Service desk or IT support in a business environment.
- Remote support using administration and remote desktop tools.
- Hands-on support for laptops, printers, peripherals, meeting rooms and basic network issues.
- Power Apps, Power Automate or Dataverse development or support.
- Working with business users to understand and solve practical problems.
- Maintaining documentation, procedures and knowledge base content.
- Working in roles where one person covers multiple technical responsibilities.
Required Technical Skills
- Strong Microsoft 365 administration skills.
- Strong Intune, endpoint compliance and application deployment skills.
- Good understanding of Entra ID user, group and access management.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across devices, applications, Microsoft 365 and access issues.
- Practical local office IT support capability.
- Working knowledge of Power Apps, Power Automate and Dataverse.
- Interest or experience in Copilot Studio and AI-assisted applications.
- PowerShell or automation experience is advantageous.

Qualifications and Certifications
Preferred
- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent practical experience.

- CompTIA A+, Network+ or Security+.
- ITIL Foundation.
