Platform Technology Manager, Finance & Risk Brisbane (pref), Sydney OR Melbourne Lead a complex enterprise transformation agenda Manage a high performing technology team Drive innovation across Finance and Risk platforms About the Role An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced technology leader to oversee Finance and Risk platforms that underpin critical corporate operations. You'll lead a diverse team of engineers and delivery professionals while shaping platform strategy, modernisation, and transformation initiatives. Working across a complex enterprise landscape, you'll help deliver resilient, secure, and scalable platforms that enable business success and long-term growth. What You'll Do Lead the strategy, delivery, and ongoing management of Finance and Risk technology platforms, ensuring services remain secure, resilient, scalable, and aligned to business priorities. Manage a geographically distributed team across multiple locations, supporting capability growth, operational excellence, and successful delivery outcomes. Drive a diverse portfolio of transformation initiatives, including application modernisation, cloud adoption, platform optimisation, and AI-enabled solutions that improve business performance. Partner with Finance, Risk, Technology, Procurement, and business stakeholders to prioritise investment decisions and deliver strategic platform roadmaps. Oversee vendor, risk, compliance, and governance activities to ensure platforms meet enterprise standards and regulatory requirements. Establish strong operational management practices through monitoring, performance measurement, and continuous improvement across platform services. What You'll Bring 5 to 10 years' experience leading technology teams responsible for corporate applications, enterprise platforms, or technology services within large and complex organisations. Demonstrated experience managing Finance, Risk, or other corporate technology platforms, with accountability for both operational performance and strategic delivery. Strong knowledge of enterprise application platforms, cloud technologies, SaaS and PaaS solutions, integration patterns, and modern application ecosystems. Experience delivering large-scale transformation programs, including application modernisation, platform uplift, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives. Proven capability managing engineers, technology specialists, and delivery professionals, creating high performing teams and developing future talent. Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders, manage vendors, balance competing priorities, and deliver measurable business outcomes.
