PLC Electrical and Control Systems Engineer

Job Description This is a remote position. PERMANENT AU DAYSHIFT, REMOTE/WFH PHILIPPINES Role: Electrical and Control Systems Engineer Reporting to: Operations Director Location: Melbourne, Australia The client is the manufacturer and distributor of a world-leading technology which is revolutionizing the commercial recycling of organic waste globally. Our innovative WasteMaster technology diverts food and other organic waste from landfill, the sewer system or incineration, thereby mitigating the hugely damaging effects on our environment. Headquartered in Ringwood Victoria, Green Eco Technologies has developed a global reach with customers and distributors now established throughout Australia, the UK, continental Europe, North America and the UAE. The client is in the middle of an exciting phase of growth where enhancing our technologies for mass scale is at the top of our priority list and this role will be critical in ensuring we achieve our goals. Essential Skills & Experience: ▪ PLC / Embedded Technologies Note that currently each WasteMaster consists of a Siemens S7-1200 series PLC for machine control, developed using Step 7 / TIA Portal. The HMI is a Weintek MT-8090XE series, developed using a tool called EasyBuilder Pro. These and other components are currently under review for potential change to an enhanced future state. Experience with a variety of machines at different stages of development Electrical drawing control management Experience with identifying areas for improvement and implementing them in an effective and collaborative way Experience with working within a multifaceted team environment including operations, technology and sales Beneficial Experience ▪ C# / ASP.NET ▪ MSSQL Server ▪ MS Azure Duties & Responsibilities: Reporting to the Operations Director and working in coordination with our IT and Software Manager, the Electrical and Control Systems Engineer will be responsible for: Design and development of control software for integration into the client's products and services Improving the automation capability of the WasteMaster to reduce remote and on-site intervention Providing technical support in the event of WasteMaster breakdowns Developing enhanced data analytics and reporting capabilities Ensuring strict electrical and software drawing control is adhered to for all WasteMasters Key Attributes: ▪ Drive & Energy to go above and beyond for the business ▪ Great team player ▪ Desire to have a positive impact on the environment ▪ Creative problem solver with excellent technical communication skills ▪ Positive and collaborative attitude ▪ Professional approach and able to represent the company to a high standard ▪ Self-driven for progressive and continued learning and development
