Hiring: PLM Systems Development Engineer – Aras Innovator | Japan
We are hiring for a leading digital engineering solutions provider in Japan with 30+ years of experience in CAE, MBD, PLM and digital engineering, supporting major manufacturing companies including automotive and industrial clients.
Location: Yokohama / Nagoya / Kobe
Employment: Permanent, Full-time
Experience: 2+ years in SI / C# development
Education: Technical college, University or Master's degree
Work Style: Hybrid – up to 2 remote days/week
Compensation: Based on experience
Role Overview
The role involves supporting manufacturing companies through PLM systems development and business-process improvement using Aras Innovator, a PLM platform used by automotive and industrial companies for product-data management.
You will work on projects covering the full lifecycle, including proposal, requirements definition, system design and implementation.
Projects may range from several months to multiple years and provide opportunities to contribute to advanced product-development initiatives in the manufacturing sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide business-process improvement consulting using Aras Innovator
- Define requirements for customer systems
- Design and implement Aras Innovator-based PLM systems
- Understand customer business challenges and develop suitable system solutions
- Participate in projects from proposal through implementation
Development Areas
Projects may include:
- Product-development process and data-management systems
- Technical-information management databases
- Materials data-management systems
Required Candidate Profile
- Technical college, University or Graduate School education
- 2+ years of experience with a Systems Integrator (SIer) OR
- 2+ years of C# development experience
Preferred Experience
- Experience as an in-house IT / Systems Engineer
- Data analysis or database development
- Web-based system development
- Java, VB or SQL
- PLM system development or implementation
- Experience working with manufacturing companies
