We are adding a PMO Assistant to our team to help manage several new work streams for our partner, a Berlin-based technology firm. At Pixel Systems, we focus on the practical tools that businesses rely on every day, such as database migrations and internal reporting systems. This role is about supporting the organization and flow of those projects. As a fully remote position, you will be responsible for keeping our project documentation, schedules, and client communications in order while our developers focus on writing stable code.
About Us
Pixel Systems is a small, remote software agency. We do not build flashy consumer apps or chase the latest industry trends. Instead, we build the systems that actually run a business, like CRM integrations and custom admin panels. Our approach is simple: we provide fixed quotes, perform weekly demos, and hand over everything including the code and documentation when we are finished. We value stability and reliability, using proven technologies like Node, React, and Postgres. We are a team that prefers solving real operational headaches over corporate drama.
The Role
In this role, your main task is to provide administrative and organizational support to our project teams. You will help maintain project schedules, ensure that task boards are up to date, and assist in preparing the weekly demos we show to our clients. A large part of the day-to-day work involves documenting project progress and making sure that the walkthrough videos and manuals we provide to our customers are accurate and complete. You will act as a point of coordination, helping information move smoothly between our remote developers and the technical team at our partner firm in Berlin.
What You Bring
We are looking for someone who is naturally organized and enjoys creating order. You do not need to have years of experience in project management, but you should be someone who can stay on top of multiple small tasks without letting things slip through the cracks. Clear communication is essential here, as we rely heavily on written updates. You should be comfortable writing plain, professional summaries of technical progress and be willing to learn how software projects move from the planning stage to completion. Being reliable and able to work independently in a remote setting are the most important qualities for this position.
Helpful Background
It is helpful if you have a basic understanding of how software is built, even if you are not a developer yourself. If you have used tools like GitHub, Trello, or Jira for university projects or personal work, that will give you a head start. Familiarity with spreadsheets and basic office software is necessary for managing project data. Any experience you have with administrative tasks, scheduling, or coordinating group activities will be very useful. We appreciate candidates who are curious about how APIs and databases work, as you will be seeing a lot of them in our weekly demos.
Working at Pixel Systems
Working with us means joining a small, flat organization where everyone is focused on getting the work done. There are no unnecessary layers of management and no long, aimless meetings. We rely on clear, written documentation and a straightforward workflow. This is a permanent, full-time role that is entirely remote. The position is paid, and the compensation is competitive for an entry-level role in the technology sector. You will get to see exactly how professional software projects are managed and delivered to clients, working alongside senior developers who value practical results over flashy presentations.
We take pride in building software that lasts and keeping our clients happy through honest communication and reliable delivery. If you prefer a quiet, productive work environment where you can focus on doing your job well, you will likely enjoy working with our team. We focus on the essentials and avoid the buzzwords and high-pressure tactics found in larger agencies.
