Role Description
The Podcast Editor will be responsible for editing and producing episodes for the Focus On Women podcast, ensuring high-quality audio and a cohesive narrative that aligns with the organization’s mission.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong audio editing and mixing skills, including proficiency with digital audio workstations (e.g., Audacity, Adobe Audition, Pro Tools, Reaper).
Candidates should possess skills in sound design and audio enhancement, such as noise reduction, equalization, compression, and mastering for spoken-word content.
Candidates should possess experience in podcast production workflows, including organizing raw recordings, structuring episodes, and preparing files for distribution.
Candidates should possess project and time management skills, with the ability to work to deadlines, manage multiple episodes, and collaborate effectively in a remote environment.
Candidates should possess strong communication skills, with the ability to take direction, offer creative suggestions, and work respectfully with a diverse, mission-driven team.
Familiarity with the commercial photography, production, or creative industries is beneficial, as is prior experience editing interview-based or narrative podcasts.
Reliable internet access, comfort with online collaboration tools, and a commitment to supporting female-identifying creatives and inclusive storytelling are highly valued.
