Job Summary The Cancer Rehabilitation (CaRe) Lab at the MGH Institute of Health Professions in Boston, MA has an opening for a postdoctoral fellow to work on an NIH-funded randomized controlled trial (RCT) involving breast cancer survivors. The fellow will work closely with the lab director, Kathleen Lyons, ScD, OTR/L and several co-investigators, both within Massachusetts General Hospital and nationally. The research portfolio of the CaRe Lab is focused on ways to reduce disability and maximize functioning and well-being of people living with and/or recovering from cancer. The candidate will be encouraged to a) serve as the project manager for the current RCT, designing systems, supervising staff, and participating in recruitment and intervention delivery as needed and b) seek out productive relationships with area researchers and collaborators in order to build his/her/their own line of research within the lab. The fellow’s individualized development plan will guide highly individualized mentorship and professional development support from Dr. Lyons and colleagues. Qualifications Education PhD, ScD, or other research degree Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No Licenses and Credentials N/A Experience Candidates with PhD and strong training in behavioral health or rehabilitation science are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will be motivated and self-directed and have strong training in mixed methods and evidence-based care. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of MS Office applications, reference software and a statistical package Willing to learn new software applications (e.g., Filemaker, RedCap) Strong attention to detail and regulatory procedures Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively Ability to express self well verbally and in writing preferred Experience working with cancer populations preferred Additional Job Details (if applicable) The compensation range for this role is between $70,000-$71,750. Final compensation will be determined based on years of relevant experience, skills, and internal equity.
