Power BI Developer / BI Consultant

Auxis, a Grant Thornton US Company is looking for a Power BI Specialist with experience in the restaurant industry to join a short-term consulting engagement (approximately 2 months), with the potential for future project extensions.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, and enhance interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Translate business requirements into intuitive, executive-level visualizations.
• Develop operational and executive KPI dashboards focused on restaurant performance.
• Create advanced DAX calculations and optimize report performance.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs.
• Deliver user-friendly dashboards that provide actionable insights across the organization.

Note: The backend data model is already in place, so this role will primarily focus on dashboard development, report design, DAX, and user experience.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience developing Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Strong expertise in DAX and data visualization best practices.
• Previous experience working with restaurant industry data, including:

-Point of Sale (POS)

-Labor and workforce metrics

-Inventory

-Financial reporting

• Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into reporting solutions.
• Ability to build executive and operational KPI dashboards.

Nice to Have

• Experience working as a BI Developer, BI Consultant, Analytics Consultant, or Data Visualization Specialist.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with business stakeholders.
• Experience in consulting environments.
