Together we can continue to create the “grid of the future” Responsibilities How you can make an impact: Perform and lead Generation Integration and load Interconnection studies within the Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC) footprint Identify optimal strategy for project interconnection to the grid based on system impacts and assessing grid capacity. Support business development activities within ERCOT and/or the West. Work on interconnection projects, including modeling, due diligence, interconnection analysis. Create and validate PSSE, PSLF and PSCAD models for renewable generation: Solar PV, BESS, Wind. It is a plus if the candidate is able to perform specialized studies of the power grid, such as Sub-synchronous Resonance studies, protection coordination studies, arc flash studies, transient overvoltage (TOV) studies. Contribute to Knowledge base of the organization and development of innovative study approaches/techniques. Attend and participate in meetings and conferences on engineering and technical issues and report key findings. Qualifications Bring your passion, here's what’s needed: 3+ years professional experience as a Power Systems Engineer. Proven team player with ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships. Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal, particularly with respect to explaining technical matters. Strong customer focus, both internal and external.
