Pre-Anesthesia Testing Nurse Practitioner

About this Job MedStar Medical Group Anesthesiology is seeking a physician assistant (PA) within Pre-Anesthesia Testing (PAT). This position, based in the District of Columbia or Baltimore region, supports MedStar Health system hospitals by providing high-quality preoperative clinical care. The provider will collaborate across teams — including PAT leadership, anesthesia, surgery, and hospital staff — to ensure timely and effective optimization of patients preparing for surgery. Experienced physician assistants or nurse practitioners are preferred with at least five years or more post-graduation PA experience in ambulatory and inpatient settings. This is a great role for a primary-care or surgical PA to consider. Applicants with previous RN experience in PACU, Pre-Op, Cardiology or Surgery are encouraged to apply as well. New physician assistant graduates with less than 5yrs of post-graduation PA experience will not be considered.
