Job Posting Title Pricing Analyst - Remote Job Description The Pricing Analyst is responsible for assisting in the development of the financial component of request for proposal (RFP) responses. This position will work with the Senior Pricing Analysts and other internal divisions to coordinate the collection of the pertinent information needed to construct competitive offers, while meeting established financial targets. Creates analytical summaries of pricing outcomes and comparisons to benchmarks. One to two annual high visibility projects within the department scope. The Pricing Analyst will serve as a consultant on matters pertaining to both financial and operational performance guarantees, while maintaining a positive working relationship with Sales, Client Engagement, Pricing, Trade Relations and other key business owners within Prime. Responsibilities Gathers and examines appropriate documentation and data necessary to develop pricing in response to moderate to complex RFP’s. Evaluates the utilization and financial experience of customers and prospects, leading to analysis and suggestions of direction for the proposals. Maintains appropriate documentation and provides reports as needed, including documenting all pricing decisions, communications, and files. Participates in development of methodologies, models, reports and strategies to support objectives of the position. Tracks and reviews RFP information, data, and potential issues that apply to all RFPs, not just the RFP at hand. Adheres to expressed RFP timelines, and communicates proactively about any blockers or delays within the RFP life cycle. Manage the process and control of at least one process improvement project at any given point, or as assigned by Management. Serve as SME for assigned client workload, including current contract definitions, exclusions, pricing, and caveats. Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, accounting, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; HS diploma or GED is required 2 years of related work experience in Finance, Accounting, or Data Analytics OR 3 years of direct PBM Pricing/Rebate Analytics experience Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship Additional Qualifications In-depth knowledge of mathematical applications used in underwriting function is required, including the ability to calculate figures such as rebate performance, proportions and percentages, as well as the ability to apply basic concepts of business mathematics and algebra in underwriting problems The need to be able to address a problem that does not have a guide to a solution. Critical thinking to find a solution is a must. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions in one-on-one or small group situations Self sufficient Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint Ability to run and interpret standard data pull queries. Capable of writing basic queries to retrieve tabluar informaiton when necessary. (BigQuery, SQL, Python, or other relational database languages as required) Ability to summarize and report out on basic data structures (Who/What/When components of analysis, etc) Interpretation and solution deployment for ancillary client inquiries, including impact summaries and "what if" questions.
