About the Role Join Marley Spoon as our Pricing Manager and help shape pricing decisions across a global food-tech business. You’ll turn data, market insight, and commercial analysis into clear recommendations that support growth, margin, retention, and customer value. This role requires previous hands-on pricing experience. We’re looking for someone who has directly developed or managed pricing models, evaluated price changes, analysed promotional performance, and made pricing recommendations within a commercial business. Pricing is one of the most important levers in how Marley Spoon balances customer value, business performance, and sustainable growth. As we continue to evolve our global commercial strategy, you’ll help bring greater structure, insight, and consistency to pricing decisions across our markets. Working closely with the Head of Marketing & Pricing Intelligence, you’ll partner with Marketing, Finance, Deployment, and other business teams to influence pricing, promotions, margin performance, and customer behaviour. This is a hands-on role for an experienced pricing professional who enjoys working deeply with data and seeing their recommendations translate into practical commercial decisions. What You’ll Do Model and evolve pricing across regions Maintain and develop pricing models across all regions to determine optimal price points, ensuring assumptions and inputs are accurate, structured, and commercially sound. Monitor market and competitor pricing Track market trends and competitor pricing activity, identify risks and opportunities, and provide data-backed pricing recommendations. Own the pricing optimization framework Take ownership of the pricing optimization framework, continually improving how pricing decisions are evaluated and supporting long-term commercial goals. Lead promotional strategy through testing Develop and evaluate promotional strategies using A/B testing and other analytical methods to determine the most effective discounts and incentives for customer acquisition and retention. Manage the promotional budget Own promotional spend forecasting, monitor performance against budget, and take proactive steps to ensure financial targets are met. Evaluate pricing performance Assess the impact of pricing and promotional changes on revenue, margin, retention, customer behaviour, and overall commercial performance. Execute cross-functionally Collaborate with Marketing, Finance, and Deployment teams to ensure pricing changes and promotional campaigns are implemented accurately and on time. What You’ll Bring 4+ years of direct, hands-on pricing experience in a dedicated pricing, revenue management, commercial pricing, or price optimization role. Demonstrated experience building, maintaining, or improving pricing models and making recommendations on price points. Previous ownership of pricing analysis, pricing changes, promotional pricing, or revenue optimization initiatives. Strong understanding of pricing mechanics, margin drivers, promotions, discounting, customer behaviour, and the commercial impact of pricing decisions. Experience measuring the effect of price changes and promotions on revenue, margin, conversion, retention, or customer demand. Proven ability to identify trends, investigate performance changes, and translate complex analysis into clear commercial recommendations. Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills, including experience working with complex pricing models and large datasets. Experience using BI tools such as Looker or a comparable platform. Strong communication skills, with the ability to present pricing recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders. A structured, detail-oriented approach to pricing analysis, reporting, model maintenance, and implementation. Based in Portugal, ideally in or near Lisbon.
