Principal Designer – UI & Product Experience

Role Purpose

We're looking for a Principal Designer – UI & Product Experience to shape the future of design at SALUS.

As our first dedicated designer, you'll define and build a seamless product experience across software and hardware. Your primary focus will be creating intuitive digital experiences, scalable UI systems, and a consistent design language across our connected hardware and software products.

What you'll do

• Shape the UI and UX design of the SALUS digital ecosystem, with a strong focus on our mobile app.
• Build and maintain a scalable design system, ensuring a consistent user experience across all digital products.
• Define all product experience across all brand touchpoints including software, hardware and packaging.
• Work closely with engineers, product managers, customers, and business stakeholders to translate insights into outstanding user experiences.
• Support the Industrial Design of our connected hardware portfolio through concept development, CAD Modelling, physical prototyping, and ensuring consistency across physical and digital products.
• Establish design standards and help build the design function as SALUS grows.

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of experience in Product Design, UI/UX Design, or Digital Product Design.
• Strong expertise in UI design, UX, and design systems.
• A portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design from concept to launch.
• Experience in Industrial Design, including physical product development or prototyping.
• Comfortable collaborating with Engineering, Product Management, and cross-functional teams.
• Hands-on, curious, and excited to build design from the ground up.
• Fluent in English.
