Principal Engineer - Electrical (Offshore)

Oil & Gas project experience is preferred. Due to the nature of the projects the sites are spread across Global. Therefore, this role can be based at any of our Chennai offices on a hybrid / remote basis with the expectation of regular travel as required. Typical responsibilities A minimum of 10 years of experience in Electrical Engineering environment with lead role in project execution (Essential). • Ability to lead small / medium teams in a multi-discipline task force-based engineering environment (Essential) • Proven expertise in FEED and EPC Engineering execution • Experience in offshore projects- Preferable • Lead the electrical engineering discipline in a multi-discipline task force-based engineering environment • Detailed knowledge on electrical system design, including power generation, transmission, distribution, and protection • Review and approve engineering deliverables, calculations, specifications, and drawings • Ensure adherence to applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., IEC, IEEE, NEC) • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, instrumentation, piping, etc.) • Support project planning, budgeting, and scheduling activities • Interface with clients, consultants, vendors, and regulatory authorities • Mentor and guide junior and senior engineers • Conduct technical training and knowledge-sharing sessions • Ensure compliance with company quality management systems • Participate in audits, design reviews, and E-HAZOP studies What makes you remarkable?
