Principal Geotechnical Engineer – Rock Mechanics

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Principal Geotechnical Engineer (Rock Mechanics) to join our established Mining Advisory team , delivering high-profile projects across the global mining sector. You'll lead the delivery of technically complex geotechnical and rock engineering projects, supporting clients through all stages of the mining lifecycle. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders, you'll combine technical excellence with strong project and client leadership. The role includes: Technical leadership in geotechnical engineering and rock mechanics projects Rock mass characterisation, slope stability and underground excavation design assessments Development and implementation of Ground Control Management Plans (GCMPs) Client relationship management and proposal support Mentoring and coaching less experienced engineers and geologists Technical reporting, due diligence reviews and study management Desk-based work alongside domestic and international site visits You'll collaborate with colleagues across Mining Advisory, Environmental and Earth Sciences, Planning, Engineering and Global Advisory, supporting complex projects and delivering sustainable solutions for mining clients around the world.
