Is this job info correct?

Principal Solutions Architect About Trilogy Innovations At Trilogy Innovations, we are committed to driving meaningful change for our customers and communities through smart, innovative technology that solves real problems. As a growing systems and software engineering company, we partner across public and private sectors to modernize enterprise systems, strengthen security, and deliver high value solutions. We are scaling with purpose, investing in our people, processes, and platforms as we expand. We work hard, think creatively, and value every perspective as we push boundaries and build systems that matter. Who you are Mission The Principal Solutions Architect is Trilogy’s senior technical leader for federal growth pursuits, responsible for translating agency missions, operational challenges, and acquisition requirements into differentiated, secure, and executable solutions. Reporting to the Deputy Chief Technology Officer and working in direct partnership with Business Development, Capture, Proposal, Pricing, and Delivery, this role ensures Trilogy enters each priority pursuit with a compelling technical strategy, credible implementation approach, and clear path from proposal commitment to successful delivery. Scope & Environment This is a principal-level individual-contributor role operating at the intersection of mission, technology, and federal acquisition. The Principal Solutions Architect leads technical solutioning for strategic opportunities across civilian, law-enforcement, homeland-security, energy, and national-security customers. Trilogy’s priority markets include HHS, DHS, and DOJ, with supporting emphasis on DOE and DoD. Candidates are not expected to bring deep experience in every agency; depth within at least one priority market and experience across multiple federal mission environments are more important than coverage of every account. The role applies Trilogy’s strengths in cloud-native application modernization, microservices, data engineering and analytics, artificial intelligence and machine learning, cybersecurity, Red Hat and OpenShift platforms, DevSecOps, and Agile/SAFe delivery. The Principal Solutions Architect is expected to provide broad technical leadership and orchestrate specialist expertise, not to be the organization’s deepest hands-on expert in every platform or discipline. The role must know when to go deep personally, when to bring in subject matter experts, and how to integrate their contributions into one coherent, affordable, and executable solution. What you will do: Federal Solution Strategy and Architecture Lead end-to-end technical solution development for qualified pursuits, from early opportunity shaping through proposal submission, oral presentation, award, and transition to delivery Translate agency mission needs, statements of objectives, performance work statements, and evaluation criteria into an integrated solution architecture and delivery model Develop target-state architectures, concepts of operation, service models, integration patterns, security boundaries, data flows, and technical roadmaps that are understandable to both evaluators and delivery teams Design secure cloud, hybrid, and edge solutions using appropriate AWS, Azure, Red Hat, OpenShift, Kubernetes, automation, and commercial or government technologies Incorporate application modernization, event-driven microservices, API enablement, DevSecOps, platform engineering, data architecture, analytics, and AI/ML approaches where they create measurable mission value Ensure solution designs account for availability, resiliency, performance, scalability, accessibility, interoperability, observability, data protection, continuity of operations, and operational support Apply relevant federal cybersecurity and compliance concepts, including Zero Trust, NIST controls, Risk Management Framework activities, FedRAMP-authorized services, privacy requirements, and agency-specific policies as applicable Capture and Opportunity Shaping Partner with Business Development and Capture leadership to assess technical fit, customer pain points, competitive position, discriminators, solution maturity, and delivery risk before bid decisions are made Participate in customer discovery sessions, technical exchanges, industry days, capability briefings, whiteboarding sessions, and partner meetings to shape requirements before solicitation release Develop solution hypotheses, technical win themes, proof points, and discriminators that align Trilogy’s capabilities and past performance to the customer’s mission outcomes Identify gaps in capabilities, past performance, credentials, staffing, products, or contract access and recommend practical mitigation through teaming, hiring, investment, or solution refinement Support opportunity qualification by estimating solution-development effort, identifying critical dependencies, and validating whether Trilogy can credibly staff and execute the proposed approach Advise capture teams on make-or-buy decisions, teammate roles, OEM participation, small-business positioning, and workshare based on technical contribution and proposal value Maintain technical continuity across long capture cycles so that customer insights, assumptions, and solution decisions are documented and reflected in the final proposal Technical Proposal and Color Team Support Own or lead development of the technical approach, management-technical integration, transition concepts, architecture graphics, solution narratives, and supporting technical artifacts Decompose requirements into compliant response outlines, solution components, technical tasks, staffing assumptions, and measurable outcomes Develop or validate bases of estimate, labor-category mappings, level-of-effort assumptions, bills of material, cloud-consumption estimates, license needs, and other technical cost drivers Serve as a principal technical reviewer during Blue, Pink, Red, Green, and Gold Team activities, with emphasis on compliance, feasibility, differentiation, risk, and evaluator clarity Prepare technical presenters and executives for oral proposals, demonstrations, question-and-answer sessions, and customer briefings Ensure proposal commitments are specific, supportable, accurately priced, consistent across volumes, and executable by the organization that will deliver the work Solution Validation, Cost, and Risk Conduct architecture trade studies, technology evaluations, build-versus-buy analyses, and feasibility assessments to support defensible solution decisions Develop prototypes, reference implementations, demonstrations, or proof-of-concept environments when needed to reduce technical uncertainty or strengthen the customer value proposition Identify solution risks involving integration, data migration, security authorization, performance, staffing, schedule, licensing, cloud cost, transition, and operational continuity Define practical mitigations, contingencies, assumptions, and decision points and ensure they are visible to Capture, Pricing, Contracts, and executive leadership Validate that proposed technologies are supportable within federal environments, align with agency enterprise standards, and do not introduce avoidable vendor lock-in or operational complexity Balance technical ambition with affordability and price-to-win objectives without weakening mission outcomes, security posture, or delivery credibility Customer, Partner, and OEM Engagement Serve as a trusted technical representative of Trilogy with agency executives, mission owners, chief architects, security leaders, program managers, contracting stakeholders, and technical evaluators Explain complex technology and delivery concepts in mission-focused language tailored to executive, operational, acquisition, and engineering audiences Build productive relationships with cloud providers, Red Hat and other OEMs, federal systems integrators, small-business partners, and specialized technology firms Lead technical due diligence on prospective teammates and validate that partner capabilities, certifications, products, and personnel support the proposed solution Represent Trilogy in technical panels, conferences, partner events, and market-development activities that strengthen customer access and technical credibility Reusable Assets and Technical Enablement Build and maintain reusable solution patterns, reference architectures, proposal content, compliance mappings, diagrams, estimation models, and technical proof points aligned to Trilogy’s growth markets Maintain awareness of federal technology priorities, agency modernization roadmaps, emerging acquisition patterns, competitor approaches, and relevant commercial innovation Collaborate with the Deputy CTO and delivery leaders to convert lessons learned and project innovations into repeatable offerings and market-facing capabilities Mentor proposal contributors, technical subject matter experts, and emerging architects in federal solutioning, evaluator-focused writing, and disciplined technical decision-making Award Transition and Delivery Alignment Lead the technical handoff from Capture to Delivery, including architecture decisions, proposal commitments, assumptions, risks, staffing models, partner roles, and customer expectations Support startup planning, key-personnel onboarding, environment readiness, initial backlog development, and technical governance for strategic awards Remain engaged during early delivery to resolve interpretation issues, protect proposal intent, and help the program establish a stable technical baseline Capture post-award lessons and update reusable assets so future pursuits benefit from actual delivery experience What you bring We require: 10 + years of progressive experience in federal information technology, systems engineering, architecture, technical consulting, or solution development At least 5 years of experience designing enterprise, cloud, application-modernization, data, cybersecurity, or mission-system solutions for federal customers 3+ years supporting federal capture, proposal development, or technical solutioning Demonstrated client-facing, capture, solutioning, or delivery experience within one or more of Trilogy’s priority federal markets, including HHS, DHS, or DOJ; depth within at least one priority agency and experience across multiple federal mission environments are strongly preferred, with DOE or DoD exposure valued Proven experience supporting strategic federal pursuits, including pre-solicitation shaping, RFIs, proposals, oral presentations, demonstrations, and structured color-team reviews Ability to translate complex mission and acquisition requirements into coherent architectures, implementation approaches, staffing assumptions, schedules, and technical cost drivers Strong working knowledge of cloud-native architectures, DevSecOps, APIs and microservices, containers and orchestration, infrastructure automation, data platforms, cybersecurity, and enterprise integration Experience applying federal security, privacy, accessibility, and compliance requirements to solution designs and proposal commitments Demonstrated ability to create and present architecture diagrams, concepts of operation, technical roadmaps, trade studies, solution narratives, and executive-level briefings Experience working with federal contract vehicles, task-order pursuits, IDIQs, BPAs, GSA MAS, small-business set-asides, and best-value evaluation environments Strong facilitation, technical writing, executive communication,
