Summary The NOC Specialist is a seasoned professional responsible for managing complex network monitoring and incident response activities. This role may lead small projects or operational processes, provide coaching to junior team members, and implement improvements to enhance NOC performance. The specialist operates with autonomy, leveraging advanced expertise to resolve complex, multi‑domain issues and influence operational standards. Key Responsibilities Lead the monitoring, analysis, and resolution of advanced or cross‑system network issues. Manage and improve operational processes and small projects within the NOC. Collaborate closely with network engineering, security, service desk, and operations teams. Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of network technologies, tools, and standard operating procedures. Follow established escalation paths and adhere to service-level agreements (SLAs). Support 24/7 operations, potentially including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations. Develop enhancements to tools, processes, or procedures to improve service performance. Communicate with internal stakeholders and external partners (vendors, customers) as required. undefined Qualifications • University degree and 6, or advanced degree. •6 + years relevant experience and Advanced technical knowledge of network infrastructure, routing/switching, security tools, and monitoring systems. • Strong analytical skills across multiple specialties or technologies. • Experience leading small projects or initiatives. • Professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are strongly preferred. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products. Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader. Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). If you live within a reasonable commute of an RTX site with other colleagues you interact with, your manager will discuss whether there is a degree of onsite presence associated with this role. Practical to substantial knowledge of RTX projects, programs or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work. Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science,Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
