About this role Our growing Private Enterprise – Partner Tax team is looking for a Tax Accountant or Senior Accountant to join our vibrant, friendly Brisbane office. In this unique and challenging role, you will be part of a specialised team completing tax returns for Grant Thornton’s Partners and for investment entities, with a focus on tax compliance and tax planning. This role offers exceptional flexibility, with full- or part-time and hybrid working options available. Key responsibilities Work closely with the firm’s Partners in meeting their accounting and tax compliance requirements, including timely preparation of financial statements and income tax returns Assist with accounting, tax advisory, and tax planning matters Build strong relationships with Partners and other stakeholders whilst observing discretion and confidentiality Stay updated on changes in tax legislation that may affect the firm’s Partners Skills and experience Qualification(s) and / or professional accreditation(s) in a relevant discipline such as Business / Commerce, Accounting or Finance, or other relevant professional or overseas qualification(s) Have commenced (or planning to commence) a CA qualification A minimum of 3 years professional experience in business and tax advisory within a chartered accounting setting Interest in working with professionals and investment entities Excellent written and spoken communication skills, with a desire to go ‘above and beyond’ to delight your customers Highly organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities within a deadline-driven environment If you are interested in this role but don’t feel that you match every single one of our requirements, we would still love to hear from you and explore the unique skillset and attributes that you can bring to the team.
