Procurement Manager

About The Role As the Procurement Manager at Volta, you will own the sourcing and purchasing strategy for the hardware, materials, and services that power our infrastructure build-out. You’ll work closely with Engineering, Supply Chain, and Finance to negotiate contracts, manage vendor relationships, and ensure on-time delivery. This is a highly visible role for someone who wants to drive cost savings and reliability across Volta's supply chain. What You Will Be Doing Own sourcing and purchasing for hardware, materials, and services critical to Volta’s infrastructure Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers and vendors to drive cost savings Manage supplier relationships and monitor performance against contractual commitments Partner with Engineering and Supply Chain to forecast demand and plan procurement timelines Identify and qualify new suppliers to diversify and strengthen the supply base Track purchase orders and manage procurement systems and records Ensure compliance with procurement policies and contract terms Identify risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation plans What You Bring 5+ years of experience in a business development, sales development, or similar outbound-focused role Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders Comfortable with high-volume outreach and a resilient, coachable approach to rejection Experience with CRM and sales engagement tools (e.g., Salesforce, Outreach, Salesloft) Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage a structured pipeline independently Curiosity about AI infrastructure, data centers, or enterprise technology sales Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
