Procurement Manager (CAPEX Projects) | Basel Area | 100%

We're currently supporting a leading international life sciences organisation in the search for an experienced Procurement Manager to join a high-performing engineering procurement team.

In this role, you will manage end-to-end procurement activities for major capital investment projects, working closely with engineering, project management and supplier stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

Contract Details

• Start: ASAP
• Latest start date: 1 November 2026
• Initial contract until 31 October 2027 (high chances of extension)
• Location: Kaiseraugst - Basel Area, Switzerland
• Workload: 100%
• Hybrid: 1 day remote per week

Key Responsibilities

• Lead RFQ and tender processes for engineering, construction and equipment packages
• Evaluate supplier proposals and develop sourcing recommendations
• Conduct commercial negotiations and contract discussions
• Draft and manage contracts and purchase orders
• Partner with project teams on procurement planning and execution
• Drive cost optimisation and value creation initiatives
• Support supplier performance management and project close-out activities

Requirements

• 5+ years of procurement experience
• Strong background in CAPEX, engineering, construction, manufacturing and/or automation procurement
• Proven experience managing supplier negotiations and sourcing activities
• Fluent German and English
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Analytical, detail-oriented and commercially minded
• Comfortable operating in a dynamic project environment
