Product Analyst Product Analyst, Pricing Data Fixed-length contract: Sep 1st - Dec 31st 2026 Rate: $30 to $35 per hour, depending on experience. Typical hours are Monday-Friday, working 9-5 GMT/BST We are looking for a Product Analyst to join the Pricing Data team for 4 months, to turn product strategy into clear, build-ready work — scoping requirements, writing self-contained tickets, and keeping the backlog healthy so engineering can move quickly and with confidence. What this role looks like: This role sits at the centre of the product delivery process, where you will turn product direction into clear, well-scoped, build-ready work. You will report into a Product Manager focused on strategy and roadmap, who owns the translation of that strategy into requirements, tickets, and prioritised delivery. You will act as the connective tissue between product, engineering, and (where relevant) commercial and client-facing teams. About the Product team: The Product team consists of 11 members, including Product Managers, Designers and Data/Product Analysts. The Product team is responsible for developing FXC’s core products, which are a mix of datasets, web platforms and APIs, along with new product proofs-of-concept. We work closely with the Technology, Commercial and Research teams. Key Responsibilities: Scope product requirements in detail — clarifying the problem, defining acceptance criteria, and surfacing edge cases before work reaches the backlog. Write clear, self-contained tickets that developers can pick up without needing to reconstruct context. Work directly with engineers to ensure tickets are understood, unblocking ambiguity early and refining scope as questions arise. Help prioritise the backlog against effort, dependencies, and impact, in partnership with the PM. Maintain a healthy, well-groomed backlog and keep delivery status visible to stakeholders. Gather and structure input from internal teams and clients to inform requirements (e.g. across price benchmarking and platform data workflows). Support sprint ceremonies — planning, refinement, and retros — and track delivery against expectations. You should apply if you: Have experience in a product analyst, associate PM, business analyst, or delivery-focused role, ideally in a data or SaaS environment. Have strong written communication skills, being able to make complex requirements unambiguous on the page. Are comfortable working closely with engineers and translating between technical and non-technical audiences. Are structured, detail-oriented, and organised; able to keep things moving without dropping threads. Have sound judgement on prioritisation and trade-offs. Are familiar with ticketing/backlog tools (e.g. Jira) and product delivery workflows. It’s a bonus if you also have: Exposure to payments, fintech, financial data, or cross-border payments. Familiarity with data investigation and data pipelines Understanding of JSON/ REST APIs, microservices Experience working with client-facing or commercial teams.
