Product Analyst Clearance : Must be able to obtain a security clearance (US citizenship required) Location : Remote Salary : $110,000-$140,000 Commensurate with experience About the Role FinchAI is seeking a highly analytical, detail-oriented Product Analyst to support the continued build-out of ARGUS, our research security and due diligence platform. This role sits at the intersection of research security tradecraft, product, and engineering — translating complex organizational due diligence workflows into clear, testable requirements that guide development. The Product Analyst works under the Senior Product Analyst with primary ownership of the Organizational Due Diligence capability set delivered in ARGUS. The ideal candidate combines hands-on experience in research security, supply chain, or corporate due diligence analysis with the ability to function as a product owner — capturing user needs, writing user stories and epics in Jira, and working with engineers through sprints to deliver outcomes that hold up under customer and auditor scrutiny. Key Responsibilities Product Ownership — Organizational Due Diligence Own the requirements backlog for the ARGUS Organizational Due Diligence tab, from concept through release, under the direction of the Senior Product Analyst. Translate the organizational risk taxonomy — risk domains, sub-risk indicators, and their associated evidence requirements — into functional specifications, data field definitions, and display logic. Define requirements for entity resolution, name and alias disambiguation, parent/subsidiary and affiliate relationships, and sub-organizational rollups. Specify how restricted-party and entity-of-concern list matches surface in the interface, including match confidence, evidence provenance, and analyst override behavior. Support requirements for organizational risk mitigation weighting logic, ensuring scoring outputs are explainable, traceable to source evidence, and defensible to a customer compliance office. Define how organizational findings flow into downstream case products and exports. Research & User Insight Conduct research across academic, corporate, and supply chain sources to identify analyst needs, workflow gaps, and coverage opportunities in organizational due diligence. Serve as the voice of the analyst end user in discussions with product leadership and engineering, grounded in how organizational reviews are actually performed in a research security office. Evaluate incumbent tools and competing due diligence platforms to inform product direction and differentiation. Assess candidate data sources and partner feeds for coverage, structure, and fit against R2 requirements; document gaps and integration implications. Monitor policy and market developments — including NSPM-33 implementation, Section 1286 and related entity designations, and federal agency disclosure requirements — that create or change organizational due diligence requirements. Requirements & Delivery Execution Write clear epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria in Jira with sufficient detail and traceability for engineering to execute without rework. Participate in backlog grooming, sprint planning, and sprint reviews; confirm delivered features meet intended analytic outcomes. Work with engineers to reconcile technical feasibility with user value, escalating trade-offs to the Senior Product Analyst. Validate delivered functionality against real organizational test cases, including known-difficult entities, and document defects and edge cases. Track delivery against roadmap commitments and surface risks, dependencies, and slippage early. Evaluate the impact of released features through pre- and post-launch analysis and structured feedback from pilot partners. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work with the Research Security Operations team to ensure platform capabilities align to service delivery workflows and case product standards. Partner with Customer Success, Sales, and Marketing so that insights and requirements are shared across the business. Support enablement materials, release notes, and product documentation that connect features to user value. Provide customer-facing subject matter expertise on organizational due diligence workflows during pilot sessions, demos, and feedback cycles as needed. Required Qualifications 3–5 years of experience in research security, due diligence, supply chain risk, open-source intelligence, compliance analysis, or a directly related analytical field. Demonstrated experience conducting organizational or entity-level due diligence, including ownership and control research, corporate registry work, and restricted-party screening. Hands-on experience with at least one due diligence or research database platform. Working familiarity with research security policy frameworks: NSPM-33, NIST IR 8484, entity-of-concern and restricted-party designations, and federal disclosure requirements. Ability to decompose complex analytical workflows into structured, testable product requirements. Experience writing user stories and managing a backlog in Jira or a comparable tool. Strong written communication skills; able to produce requirements documentation, analysis summaries, and enablement content that are clear to both analysts and engineers. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (national security, international affairs, business, data/information science, or related field). Preferred Qualifications Prior product owner, business analyst, or embedded analyst experience on a software team. Experience in a university research office, export control or compliance function, federal agency, or research-focused contractor. Familiarity with bibliometric data structures, affiliation disambiguation, or co-authorship network analysis. Working knowledge of SQL or comparable ability to interrogate structured data independently. Familiarity with ICD 203 analytic standards and confidence language. Active security clearance or ability to obtain one. Why Join FinchAI Own a core capability area in the first-of-its-kind ARGUS research security and due diligence platform built to scale. Work alongside mission-driven practitioners with deep counterintelligence, federal agency, and national security backgrounds. Competitive compensation, equity participation, and the opportunity to build something that matters at the intersection of AI and national security. Remote-eligible with strong team culture and direct access to FinchAI leadership.
