Product Design Intern

Interns at Parallel work on real client projects from day one, supporting the senior designers who lead them.

We're a product strategy and design studio, one of the first in India, and we work with teams like Sarvam, Healthify, Pixxel, Meta, Delhivery, Digilocker, and Gullak. You'll move between projects depending on where the team needs hands, which means you'll see more products, more industries, and more ways of solving a problem in six months than most designers see in their first two years.

Think of it as an apprenticeship. You learn this craft by sitting close to people who are good at it, doing the work with them, and being corrected often. We take a small number of interns and put serious time into each one, so we're selective about who we bring in. Most people who join want to end up here full-time, and that's what we're aiming for too.

What you'll do

• Support senior designers on live client work: explorations, screens, flows, and the iterations that get them there.
• Move between projects depending on where help is needed that week.
• Build prototypes and mock-ups quickly, so ideas can be tested instead of debated.
• Sit in on research sessions, critiques, and client reviews.
• Take feedback well, and learn how to give it.
• Watch products travel from a rough brief to something that ships, and understand what changed along the way.

What we're looking for

• A background in product design, and work you can show us. The portfolio matters more than the degree.
• Available full-time for at least six months.
• Here to start a career, not to complete a college requirement.
• Happy to support senior designers and learn from people further along than you.
• Open to being taught, and to being told when something isn't working yet.
• Good at working remotely: communicative, organised, and quick to ask rather than stay stuck.
• Curious about where design is heading, including AI and new interaction patterns.
• Genuinely interested in converting to a full-time role with us. We hire out of this program.
• Willing to sign an NDA for the work you do here.

Duration: six months minimum, full-time.

Stipend: ₹20,000 to ₹30,000 a month, depending on your experience.

Location: fully remote.

Graduation projects: if you have one to finish, that's fine, as long as you can balance it with the work here and nothing breaches a client NDA.
