Product Design internship

Role Description The Product Design Intern will support the design team in creating user-centered healthcare technology products that are intuitive, accessible, and visually cohesive. In this remote internship role, the intern will assist with user research activities, such as gathering insights, synthesizing findings, and helping translate them into design requirements. Day-to-day tasks include contributing to wireframes, low- and high-fidelity prototypes, and visual assets under the guidance of senior designers. The intern will collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to refine user flows, iterate on design concepts, and help ensure alignment with DIME’s mission and brand. This internship role offers exposure to the full product design lifecycle, from discovery and ideation through testing and refinement.
Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Product Design and Design Thinking, with the ability to create user-centered solutions.
• Skills in User Research and UX Research to gather, analyze, and apply user insights to design decisions.
• Visual Design capabilities, including layout, typography, and basic interaction design principles.
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, UX/UI, or a related field.
• Proficiency with common design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar).
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present and discuss design work.
• Collaborative mindset, openness to feedback, and ability to work effectively in a remote, cross-functional team.
• Interest in healthcare, health technology, or data-driven products is highly beneficial.
