Applications are by email
Everything you need is in "How to apply" at the bottom. Work sent through LinkedIn alone might not reach us.
Healthcare software is famously ugly, and everyone has decided that's fine. We haven't.
Psynth is an AI-native platform that turns intake forms, test data, interviews, and clinical notes into a draft psychological report. Work that used to eat 6+ hours of a psychologist's evening now takes under 45 minutes. We support 450+ assessments. We're a small team, we ship fast, and we build for clinicians who are drowning in paperwork instead of doing the work they trained for.
We're looking for a Product Designer who designs like a consumer brand, thinks like a clinician's advocate, and gets their work shipped.
WHY WE WANT CONSUMER INSTINCTS ON A CLINICAL PRODUCT
Most people building for psychologists design like the user has no choice. Our users always have a choice. In CPG and B2C, nobody attends a mandatory training session before using your product. That's the standard we're holding ourselves to inside a clinical workflow.
Beauty earns the first click. Accuracy earns the next thousand. We need both.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Own end-to-end design for our core workflows: intake, document upload, report generation, clinician review and editing, and export
• Prototype fast and constantly. We'd rather see five rough clickable directions on Wednesday than one perfect frame three weeks from now
• Make dense, high-stakes clinical data feel calm, legible, and trustworthy
• Hand off work engineers can build from — real states, real edge cases, real specs — and stay with it through implementation until what ships matches what you designed
• Build and maintain a design system that keeps craft high as we ship faster
• Sit in on real clinician calls, watch real work, and design from what you observed instead of what you assumed
• Shape how the product feels in motion — transitions and microinteractions that make a complex tool feel responsive and alive
• Bring taste to the whole surface — product, marketing site, brand touchpoints
REQUIRED
• Strong proficiency in Figma — including dev-ready handoff — or an equivalent UI design and prototyping tool
• Interactive prototypes that clearly communicate user flows and product behavior, not static screens
• Strong visual design, UX, and interaction design fundamentals
• A real track record collaborating with engineers to ship production-ready interfaces
STRONGLY PREFERRED
• Experience designing animations, transitions, and microinteractions
• Consumer-grade craft in your shipped work: CPG, DTC, B2C apps, or brand-led digital products where visual quality was the job, not a nice-to-have
NICE TO HAVE
Video creation and editing for product demos, walkthroughs, and feature announcements — genuinely useful here, but not something we'll screen you out for. Complex, regulated, or data-heavy product experience. Design systems ownership. Data visualization. Enough front-end familiarity to know what you're asking engineers for or to build it yourself.
YOU'RE PROBABLY A FIT IF
• You have 3+ years designing shipped digital products, and you can walk us through the screens and the decisions behind them
• You prototype to settle arguments — in Figma, and in whatever else gets you to something clickable (Framer, v0, Lovable, Cursor, real code)
• You've been in the room when the build diverged from the design, and you know how you handled it
• You're genuinely AI-pilled: AI tools are inside your daily design practice, and you have specific opinions about where they help and where they quietly lie to you
• You write and speak English comfortably enough to present directly to founders and clinicians
• You want a small team, direct feedback, and real ownership more than you want process
THE TERMS
• Independent contractor, paid through Deel
• $3,000 USD/month
• Full-time and responsive during 9:00am–5:00pm ET — that's roughly 10am–6pm in Buenos Aires, so no night shift
• Fully remote. Argentina preferred; we'll consider elsewhere in Latin America for an exceptional fit
• You'll work directly with our co-founder/CEO and our founding psychologist

HOW TO APPLY — PLEASE READ THIS PART
Email your work to hiring@psynth.ai
Subject line: Product Designer — Your Name
Send two things and skip the cover letter:
1. Your portfolio, plus one project where the design decisions were genuinely yours — tell us what you owned, and what shipped
2. A link to something interactive — a prototype, a flow, a motion piece — anything that moves when we touch it
Then answer this in three sentences or fewer: what's one product you use that's beautiful and still bad, and what would you change first?
Links are fine — no attachments or PDFs required.
A real person reads every email, and we reply with a link to book time with us directly.
Psynth handles clinical data with care, and we hold the same standard for candidates.
