Job Requirements Product Designer (Consultant, Experience & Design) We are seeking a Product Designer as part of our Consultant, Experience & Design career path to ensure an enterprise cloud data platform is intuitive, accessible, and aligned with user needs. This opportunity supports a large federal agency's enterprise data modernization initiative focused on building and operating a secure, cloud-native data platform that enables data-driven decision-making across the agency. The Product Designer conducts user research, facilitates discovery sessions, and designs user journeys that improve customer onboarding and platform adoption, translating complex technical capabilities into accessible experiences that help agency teams discover, access, and use enterprise data services effectively. This is a fully remote role. At Fearless , the consultant ensures that products and services are intuitive, accessible, and meet the needs of diverse users. This role will possess and/or develop the skills to be able to span the domains of Content Design, Product Design, Service Design, Content Strategy, and User Research at a practical application level of proficiency. This Consultant role will work on projects that allow them to implement evidence-based solutions that balance organizational goals with user needs, while fostering inclusive and sustainable design practices across the organization. Your Responsibilities in this Role: ● Conduct user research with platform stakeholders to identify pain points, validate assumptions, and inform design decisions. ● Design end-to-end user journeys and service work fl ows that improve customer onboarding and platform usability. ● Create wireframes, prototypes, and interactive mockups using Figma to communicate design concepts and validate solutions. ● Perform usability testing with end users to evaluate design effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. ● Ensure all designs meet federal accessibility standards and support inclusive user experiences. ● Collaborate with engineers, product managers, customer success teams, and stakeholders to translate user needs into intuitive platform experiences. ● Facilitate discovery workshops to align cross-functional teams around user-centered platform enhancements. ● Develop service blueprints and customer experience artifacts that improve platform adoption and service delivery. ● Analyze user feedback and usability fi ndings to recommend improvements that enhance customer experience and platform adoption. Fearless Customer Impact: Deliver expected outcomes that are intuitive, accessible, and aesthetically compelling Offer and implement innovative solutions that include design best practices, tools, and research methods Serve as a trusted advisor in your area of expertise Work Experience PROJECT SPECIFIC SKILL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS ● Minimum of 4 years of experience in UX design, product design, or related roles. ● Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Design, Computer Science, or related fi eld, or equivalent work experience. ● Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance. ● Proven experience conducting user research and synthesizing fi ndings into actionable design recommendations. ● Strong pro fi ciency with Figma or similar design and prototyping tools. ● Demonstrated experience designing user journeys, service work fl ows, and wireframes for digital platforms. ● Experience facilitating discovery workshops, stakeholder interviews, or design sessions with cross-functional teams. ● Experience performing usability testing and incorporating feedback into iterative design improvements. ● Experience translating user research and business requirements into user-centered design solutions for complex digital products. ● Working knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices. Preferred Experience ● Experience supporting federal government, healthcare, or other highly regulated environments with accessibility and human-centered design requirements. ● Experience designing for enterprise data platforms, cloud services, or internal tools supporting technical users. ● Familiarity with design systems and scalable component libraries.
