Is this job info correct?

Prefect builds and operates resilient, Pythonic orchestration and MCP platforms -- Prefect OSS , Prefect Cloud , FastMCP OSS, and Horizon -- used for mission-critical workloads. Our Vision: Prefect will define automation for the context era. Our Mission: Curate an intelligent context layer that delivers the right information at the right time. Our remote first company is singularly focused on this vision and mission, and every team member directly contributes to their advancement. We've carefully created a supportive, high-performance culture - the operating system of our company - that empowers our team to do the best work of their careers and achieve their personal and professional aspirations. Our company operates both open-source and commercial offerings, partnering with Fortune 500 companies, data innovators, and fast-growing digitally native startups. We are looking for folks who want to join a remote-first team #LI-Remote to continue building an equally amazing company, product, and developer community. Role Summary: We're looking for a full-stack engineer who leans front-end to join the Prefect Cloud team at a pivotal moment. Prefect Cloud is moving into agentic workflows — letting people describe the outcomes they want agents to achieve and then run, schedule, observe, and govern those agents with the same orchestration backbone Prefect is known for. You'll help define the UX of that new surface: execution plans, no-code / natural-language agent authoring, human-in-the-loop gates, and seamless integration with the broader developer ecosystem. We strongly prefer someone who brings knowledge of the orchestration and developer-tools space. You'll report to Zach (Zach Angell), Director of Engineering for Prefect Cloud, and partner directly with our product leadership, GtM partners, and early customers to turn field signal into working software fast. What You'll Do: Key team member who shapes and ships the agentic-workflow product surface in Prefect Cloud — execution plans, agent authoring, human-in-the-loop gates — from problem to polished, shipped experience. Own user-facing features end-to-end across the stack, with your center of gravity on the front-end. Be a thought partner to the Prefect Cloud engineering team on product and UX direction. Bring orchestration / dev-tools intuition to product decisions — you understand the user and the category. Partner with customers and GTM, including design partners, to turn signal into working software with a fast feedback loops. Write maintainable, performant full-stack code and participate in on-call / incident response. Your Qualifications: 5+ years of full-stack engineering experience with demonstrated success shipping user-facing products. Strong front-end skills: deep proficiency in TypeScript, Vue, and modern UI libraries. You can go from idea to polished implementation and have opinions about what makes good UX. TODO - Zach to write up backend skills Track record of shipping in high-ambiguity, early-stage environments without a dedicated PM. Comfortable across the full stack; your strength and energy are on the product surface. Knowledge of the orchestration / workflow / developer-tools space strongly preferred — e.g. experience at or with tools like Temporal, Airflow, Langsmith, n8n or similar. Adjacent dev-tools / dev-platform experience is also valuable. Genuine interest in agents and AI/LLM tooling; you follow where the space is heading and have opinions. Real fluency with AI development tools. You've shipped meaningful work with Claude Code, Codex, or their equivalents. You stay accountable for what they produce: you direct them with specs legible to humans and machines; and use them to create a high trust production environment for users. What You'll Get in Return: Base Salary Ranges (current Senior / L5 band): San Francisco Bay Area & NYC Metro: $194,000–$242,000 Washington D.C., Boston, LA Metro, Seattle: $176,000–$221,000 Denver, Chicago, Atlanta, & all other U.S. metros: $172,000–$214,000 Actual base salary within each range depends on the candidate's location, experience, and qualifications. Equity and benefits are not included in the range above. Perks and Benefits: Remote-first team with flexible-first culture Equity Stock Options 401(k) with 5% company match (vests immediately!) Unlimited PTO Medical, Dental and Vision insurance Generous Parental Leave Life Insurance and Disability benefits $800 remote work stipend Belongingness at Prefect: Belongingness at Prefect is our commitment to ensuring mutual power, access, and opportunity among all groups and individuals who make up our community. We operationalize belongingness through actions large and small on a daily basis, but always with the goal that all groups and individuals can contribute as their most authentic self to the evolution of our product, our team, and our community. Belongingness is also our commitment to bridge with individuals or groups not yet established in our community, acknowledge differences in a way that affirms distinct identities, and allows for a new, more expansive group identity to form. Equal Opportunity at Prefect: Prefect is an equal opportunity employer and encourages applications from people of all backgrounds. All applicants will be considered for employment without attention to race, religion, color, sex (including pregnancy, sexual orientation and gender identity/expression), national origin, disability or any other status protected under applicable federal, state, or local laws. Brad is a real live person (👋🏻) and is looking forward to learning more about you through your application.
