The role will develop and execute the annual India marketing plan aligned with regional and global strategic objectives, lead new product launches, drive field marketing excellence, manage forecasting and pricing, and provide strong cross-functional coordination across Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, and Global Marketing teams. This is a high-impact role requiring strong commercial acumen, clinical understanding, and execution excellence in a competitive hospital and institutional environment. Key Responsibilities 1. Marketing Strategy & Annual Plan Execution (50–60%) Develop and execute the India marketing plan aligned to divisional and global strategy. Drive portfolio growth for assigned product categories (Gowns, Drapes, Surgical Gloves, Masks, Infection Prevention). Conduct market analysis: market size, trends, competitive landscape, pricing benchmarks, customer segmentation. Develop India-specific marketing campaigns, value propositions, and promotional materials. Translate marketing strategy into executable field tactics in collaboration with Sales teams. Lead new product launch planning and execution aligned to global launch frameworks. Conduct post-launch reviews and implement improvements. Manage marketing budget and ensure optimal ROI. Success Metrics: Achievement of NSV, GSV, OP and gross profit targets. Market share growth. On-time execution of marketing initiatives. Launch success metrics (revenue, penetration, adoption rate). 2. Field Marketing & Sales Enablement (15–20%) Conduct regular field visits for customer insights and feedback. Support hospital segmentation, targeting and opportunity mapping via SFDC. Deliver product training during onboarding, sales meetings and conferences. Develop sales tools, presentations, clinical data summaries and objection-handling guides. Identify and develop Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) for product advocacy. Monitor competitor activity and provide actionable intelligence. Success Metrics: Number and quality of field engagements. Sales team capability enhancement. Increase in opportunity conversion rate. 3. Pricing, Forecasting & Commercial Operations (15–20%) Conduct pricing analysis (internal & competitor) for tenders and contracts. Recommend pricing strategies based on market dynamics and profitability targets. Collaborate with Supply Chain for accurate monthly forecasting. Proactively manage inventory risks and product availability. Support tender submissions with data, product positioning and pricing inputs. Review product complaints and ensure appropriate resolution support. Success Metrics: Forecast accuracy. Inventory health metrics. On-time tender submissions. Maintenance of target gross margins. 4. Marketing Communications & Stakeholder Management (10–15%) Coordinate with APAC / Global Marketing for localization of content. Ensure alignment with brand guidelines and regulatory requirements. Provide monthly reporting on portfolio performance (sales trends, margins, A&P spend). Manage advertising and promotional expense reconciliation. Develop presentations for internal reviews, business planning and customer meetings. Success Metrics: Timely and accurate reporting. Smooth cross-functional collaboration. Positive feedback from Sales, Leadership and Global Teams. Key Cross-Functional Relationships Internal: Country Head Sales Team & Regional Sales Managers Finance Supply Chain & Demand Planning Contracts & Sales Operations APAC & US Global Marketing Teams External: Surgeons & Clinical Stakeholders Hospital Purchase Committees & Decision Makers Distributors & Channel Partners Vendors / Agencies Leadership Competencies Customer Centricity (Hospital & Clinical Focus) Commercial Acumen & P&L Orientation Strategic Thinking with Execution Excellence Cross-functional Collaboration Data-Driven Decision Making Agility in Competitive & Price-Sensitive Markets Continuous Improvement Mindset Qualifications & Experience Education: Bachelor’s degree (Science / Pharmacy preferred) MBA in Marketing or Business Management (Preferred) Experience: 4–6 years in Product Management within MedTech / Healthcare Experience in Surgical / OT / Infection Prevention categories preferred Prior sales experience (1–2 years) is an advantage Experience in multinational healthcare organizations preferred Skills & Competencies Strong understanding of hospital procurement and tendering processes in India Experience in launching and commercializing medical products Financial acumen (pricing, margin analysis, forecasting) Proficiency in CRM systems (SFDC preferred) Strong presentation and communication skills (English & Hindi) Analytical mindset with attention to detail Ability to work in matrix/global organizations Performance Indicators Portfolio revenue growth vs. budget Gross margin improvement Market share gain Forecast accuracy Launch effectiveness Sales team capability improvement Timely completion of marketing calendar deliverables If you feel this opportunity could be the next step in your career, we encourage you to apply.
