We're looking for a commercially minded Product Manager to help shape and grow our Acquiring Domain. This role sits at the intersection of
product, acquiring payments technology, market and commercial strategy,
translating customer needs, industry trends and business priorities into clear product direction, compelling market narratives and sustainable commercial outcomes.

What You'll Do
Shape Product Strategy and Direction
Develop product strategies and roadmap priorities that support Cuscal's growth ambitions.
Translate customer needs, market opportunities, and business objectives into clear product outcomes.
Identify opportunities to expand acquiring capabilities, payment acceptance methods and value-added services.
Monitor industry trends, competitor activity and emerging technologies to inform product direction.
Drive Discovery and Customer Understanding
Lead discovery activities with clients, partners, vendors and internal stakeholders to identify problems and validate opportunities.
Facilitate workshops, requirements gathering sessions and collaborative discussions to shape product outcomes.
Develop a deep understanding of customer needs, market dynamics and industry challenges.
Balance customer value, commercial outcomes, technical considerations and operational requirements when making product decisions.
Understand and Shape Payments Technology
Develop a strong understanding of Cuscal acquiring platforms, payment acceptance technologies and payments infrastructure to build a next-generation technology stack.
Work closely with engineering teams, processors, vendors and technology partners to evaluate opportunities and shape product direction.
Participate in discovery and solution design discussions involving payment flows, integrations, payment acceptance technologies and acquiring platforms.
Understand how technology decisions impact customer outcomes, commercial performance, operational effectiveness and scalability.
Help translate complex technology concepts into clear customer and commercial value propositions.
Deliver Commercial Outcomes
Drive growth, adoption and expansion across acquiring products and capabilities.
Build business cases and contribute to investment prioritisation decisions.
Support strategic client engagements, commercial discussions, and partnership opportunities.
Identify new market segments and emerging payment opportunities that can create value for Cuscal and its clients.
Influence and Collaborate Across Teams
Work closely with Product managers and Product owners, Engineering, Architecture, Delivery, Operations, Risk and Commercial teams.
Partner with delivery-focused product owners to ensure product outcomes are successfully executed.
Build alignment across stakeholders and influence decisions without relying on formal authority.
Navigate complex environments with confidence, ownership and a focus on outcomes.
Tell Compelling Product Stories
Develop clear, credible and compelling product narratives.
Partner with Product Marketing and client-facing teams to support go-to-market activities.
Represent Cuscal's acquiring capabilities with clients, partners and industry stakeholders.
Help strengthen Cuscal's market presence as the Acquiring business continues to scale.
What We're Looking For
Essential Experience
Proven ability to operate effectively in complex and evolving environments, with a strong bias for action and a track record of driving issues through to resolution.
Experience in Product Management in Payments, Banking, Financial Services, Technology or related industries.
Demonstrated experience defining product strategy, influencing roadmap priorities and delivering customer outcomes.
Strong commercial acumen and the ability to identify and act on growth opportunities.
Experience leading discovery activities and engaging directly with customers and stakeholders.
Experience facilitating discovery sessions with customers, vendors, engineers and business stakeholders.
Ability to work effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
Experience working with payments technology, financial services platforms or transaction processing environments.
Ability to understand the commercial implications of technology decisions.
Strong communication, facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable Experience
Experience in cards acquiring, merchant payments, payment gateways, switching, terminal management, SoftPOS, digital acceptance or embedded payments.
Knowledge of Visa, Mastercard, eftpos, NPP and broader payments ecosystems.
Experience working with financial institutions, fintechs, payment providers or technology partners.
Exposure to platform-based, infrastructure or ecosystem products.
Familiarity with tokenisation, digital wallets, payment orchestration and emerging acceptance technologies.
